I have left my hairspray and ALL my bobbypins at a girls house. I don't know what to do with my hair now...I use those two things every day! I'll have to go about a week without my beloved spray and pins...anybody have any good ideas for hair styles that don't need hair spray and pins for shoulder length hair?

Do you have a claw clip? I generally just clip mine up when I'm not bothering to look cute for anything.

You could try sock curls: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kpudI7Kmtbg or snake waves: http://forums.longhaircommunity.com/showthread.php?t=38935&high...

Both of those are heat free and require very little in terms of materials. You probably don't even need to use product.
Thank you! I'll give that a go. My hair doesn't hold curls very well, but I'll try that. Maybe it will stay without product since the hair will be slighty damp and dry that way. The main problem I have is that it's triple digits where I'm living right now and my hair needs to be up...poo. I've just been doing ponytails...yuck. hehe. But curls could spruce it up bit. :)

When I was in my teens, I heard about using beer as a setting lotion: http://www.ehow.com/how_2218695_curl-hair-beer.html

Here's a thread on natural kitchen-creams: http://www.naturallycurly.com/curltalk/showthread.php?t=66372

You may also want to search www.longhaircommunity.com; they have an overwhelming wealth of information.

Pardon me for asking, but where do you live that you won't have drugstore access for a week? That really sucks!

Good luck with the curls and let me know how it goes.
Try a chignon: http://www.hairboutique.com/tips/tip100018.htm

Or a French Twist: http://www.hairboutique.com/tips/tip070.htm

It says use bobby pins but I've used small claw clips for a more casual, slightly messier look.
Thanks! I heard about that too from a Debbie Reynolds book awhile back and forgot! haha. Well, I live in Laughlin and I have to go about 14 miles away to get to a CVS and my car just broke down the day after I left my stuff there :(

Oh no! I hope you get your car fixed soon. That really sucks. I guess I'm spoiled where I live. :P

I hope your styles come out well!
