Hi! I hope everybody had a great time at VLV 13. I had a question for anyone who might know this...how does one get the passes to the burlesque events? I ask this because my party and I were quite unorganized and this was my first trip to VLV and being on vacation and all, we did not normally get to the Orleans until late in the day and when I wanted to go see both of the burlesque showcases, there was a sign on the door stating they were at capacity for the shows. How does one go about getting passes to go in? Any advice so that I may be able to get into those for VLV14 would be helpful. I'm going with a different group of people next year and they are all going to want to see the burlesque!
You had to pick up tickets at the ticket counter by the theater at 3PM the day of the show. Each armband got one ticket. Hopefully you can see the shows next year, and make sure to ask the ticket booth earlier, they were passing them out as early as 2:15 the day of....
This year was the first time the orleans had seperate tix for the burlesque show. In a nutshell....the same burlesque show is performed twice because there is limited seating in the theatre. You must get in line to receive an extra ticket (w/wristband) the day before or day of at the time it says on the bulletin in front of the theatre, until supplies last, before the show.
This was the first time we had to deal with this. We got to see the burle' competition though. If this sounds confusing, I recommend asking a Viva personnel. There was a lot of unhappy people because of this missunderstanding this year.
Per armband: you had access to one of the Friday night events with top-name burlesque performers plus entry on Saturday night to the burlesque contest naming the next Miss VLV. For each event, there was a time frame that you could go the Box Office/Ticket counter near the entrance to pick up tickets for your group (they had to be there though). Hope this helps avoid any confusion for next year! Take care.

The Orleans Showroom is a seated venue compared to the other room's that are standing room. Pre-Orleans the Burlesque competitions were at one of the Ballrooms and everyone that could pack in those rooms did.
At VLV 12 (1st year in the seated Showroom) There were lines down the casino to get into the Friday night showcase. Picking up a ticket or 'pass' in advance for the seated Showroom was the best way to help not having a long line of people that had to be turned away.
I was not able to see either the Showcase or Competition for VLV 12 because I was performing with the Aquasonics in the Pub both nights. I did have the pleasure of opening the VLV 13 Showcase with the Del Reys as well as being part of an incredible cast! I can only imagine Victoria Vengeance will not disappoint next year!

I certianly plan to get there ASAP to get passes for VLV XIV burlesque. I am going to go to the ticket booth and ask them like...Thursday when I get in...just to clarify! I was sad I missed it this year but this is one of the bigger deals for me being an attendee and I will be sure not to miss it again!!
Yes I had a GREAT time, hope you did too. sucks that you miss the burlesque show ( If i would of knowed I had 2 extra tix) it was a real treat. the Host was funny, the perfromances were amazing! Was anyone at the first show? who was that drunk chick who went to the stage after "Robert De NIro" come to the stage. I think she was also shouting Tijuana? Man that was funny. wont ever forget that. Next year make sure to read the program they give you with your wristband thats how I found out that you had to get tickets in advance.
You know, missing Burlesque was more a combination of things. My friends I was with were not feeling up to doing much (the dry dessert air and dehydration I think) and we booked our room at the Emerald Suites but NOT the one across the street from the Orleans, the one ACROSS TOWN (smack self in forehead!!) so it wasn't like we could come and go at our liesure, we had to gather our tired and weak dehydrated selves in the car and drive across town. I think as first time visitors to Vegas, let alone to VLV, we were just ill prepared. And the hotel food did us in, we ate at the buffets. Next year I have a game plan ready!! I have even booked my room already so I know exactly what I am going to be doing and whom I am going with. I do have to say that the highlight of my trip for this year's VIVA was I got to see Dita Von Teese perform at the Crazy Horse Paris! But I swear BURLESQUE here I come next year!!!
There was quite a lot of confusion about the tickets for the showcase and competition.
I did bring it to Victoria's attention that the box office was giving confusing information. Im confident this will be alleviated next year ;)
And Im sure it will be yet another stellar Burlesque Showcase and amazing Burlesque Competition at VLV14! :)
