Easter is only days away, and though I know not everyone celebrates it the way my large predominantly Catholic family does, I know plenty of people have a gathering of sorts with food abound.
What are your favorite Easter dishes? From main courses to side dishes to desserts, what's that one thing you can't wait to eat each year? Recipes if ya got 'em!!!
you would think coming from a hispanic background we would be sportin the menudo & carne asada for Easter but we were always opposite. Burgers & hot dogs for us. I think the fanciest we had was a ham.
i always wanted to be in a family that made a big dinner like ham or something but my family doesn't really eat the same things so since it was a holiday we would have a good breakfast. my mom would make us bacon or sausage with toast and usually something like cinnamon rolls or biscuits. i would always have chocolate milk and my parents would have orange juice.
Honey Ham
Mashed Potatoes
Sweet Potatoes w/ Marshmallows
Rolls
Mayo & Cheese (for ham sandwiches)
Asparagus
Orange Salad (it's orange jello, orange sherbet, sprite, and a few other yummy things, shhh it's a secret)
And some kinda of pasta, spaghetti, ravioli, lasagna... what can I say... we're Italian!
Our standard Easter dinner is ham, scalloped potatoes (homemade, not from the box), some kind of vegetable like green beans or broccoli and rolls. Usually Hawaiian rolls. Oh, and deviled eggs! I'm not having Easter dinner this year, and this is really making me crave it!
