Packing!

I am feeling overwhelmed with all the packing I need to do. I have made a list of all I need to bring, and where some of the clothes are (cleaners, alterations) and all I have to do! Plus I have to work Sat, Sun, and Tues, and am going to see Marti Brom Friday night and have tickets to Hank 3 on Sunday night. I leave at 5 AM Wednesday and also have to bring a bunch of Merch and Sax for a band that is playing Viva. Oh yeah, and also merch for Cockgrease. OK...maybe start with little steps first. Start with shoes, except those I'm wearing this weekend...it would be so much easier if I wasn't working and going out this weekend! Maybe start after I pick up the clothes from the cleaners? ACK! Oh yeah, I have to pack for my husband. Since he's flying in Friday and meeting me, he wants me to pack his suitcase for him and bring it in the car!

Anyone else feeling overwhelmed like me?

Just remembered one more thing I have to do today, and that's dye my roots!

Mine is hard to fit, as well. He has really long arms! We lucked out and miraculously found him a suit at Boss Vintage in Denver (they always have a fabulous booth at Viva), which is a perfect fit! Now, to get him to wear it. But my point is, don't give up looking! Some fella out there was atypically shaped 50 years ago. You just need to find his clothes!

I am also the type that never fits in vintage and even if I find a piece that "works" it still has to be altered like a b****. So I can relate! He's just a very stocky boy and tall too, all the shirts we find are either made HUGE or tiny, same with pants.

One of these days I hope we can find something that fits him right! I would love for us to be that couple that everyone looks at and is like wow!!! they are dressed amazing!

Ok a guy's perspective here..... Gear..... Cell phone charger, Camera data cable, batteries, batteries, batteries! Shades, Pda or notebook, 'WHAT WAS THAT GUY WITH THE 54 CHEVY'S NAME?'

HANDY LAST-MINUTE PACKING TIP, HAIR FLOWER EDITION: Run out to your local Michael's/Hobby Lobby/JoAnne or what have you, and pick up a couple of the plasticy Chinese take-out containers that they sell as gift wrap and/or favor boxes. Cardboard ones work too, but I think the plastic ones are a little more resilient to accidental crushing. You can stack two large hair flowers in one container. They're also great for storing bangle bracelets without tangling them up with your necklaces!

And another thing...

As of right now, the forecast high during the course of Viva is a sizzling 72° on Sunday. The nights will be chilly, so be sure to pack jackets and/or sweaters if you plan to spend any time outside. No need to have aching feet and goosebumps while you wait for a cab!

Greeeaattt....another COLD ass Viva. Grrrr. I froze my ass off at the car show last year, it was fine until the wind blew, then you got a cold blast of air with that little bit of misty rain in it. Fun.

Let's hop that high of 72 happens during the pool party!

I always pack my flowers in my box purses. Also, I am bringing my costume jewelry box with me.

Just packed up the car with everything I am bringing for other people, and there is hardly room for my clothes! ACK!

Got all my separates, jewelry, shoes, undergarments, etc., packed. Just need to pack my dresses which I will lay out over all the stuff I'm bringing. I'm bringing merch for a band, and my friend who is vending, so car space is limited, now. Hopefully all my dresses will lay out nicely across it all. My car is half packed!

I'm doing the DEN>LAS leg alone, so I need to figure out how my little girlie hands can corral two huge suitcases, plus my carry-on stuff. My vintage dresses will NOT get checked!
