Where are you staying?

I know we have the "when will you get there" thread, but lets have one for just hotels. That way we can see where the bulk of PLers are gonna be staying.

Also, if you have stayed in the hotel before, maybe give a small review so others know what to expect. 

I haven't booked a room yet, but I'm looking at the Tahiti (it has a free shuttle to the Orleans, and looks kinda vintage tiki themed).

This is so true! The first 3 times I went to Viva, I had my kids with me so we stayed at my dad's house in Vegas. In 2008, Frank and I went without the kids and stayed at the Gold Coast, and it made the weekend so much better! I will never go to Viva and not stay on site ever again! I don't know why people don't get it...I never again want to miss anything because I was trying to find parking, was stuck in traffic or have to go to my car to change my shoes.

Word. I hope more people post experiences like this so all the newbs will read it and understand! I am actually gonna send a link to PL and particularly this discussion area to my friends so they can read all of this for themselves.

Sadly, my procrastination left us unable to be on site, but we were able to get one of the newly renovated rooms at the Gold Coast...it's our first time too, so we are really excited!

I'm staying at my parents house. I do agree that if your from out of town, staying at the Orleans (or as close as you can get) is your best bet...for all the reasons Christi explained. The Tropicana is a good cheap option if all else fails. And my personal fav THE HARD ROCK HOTEL is always a party...not to mention walking distance from the Double Down...which is where you can find me. lol
