This may sound like a silly question, but since I've never gone to Viva before, are there limited tickets to this event? (i.e. like a concert)

I guess what I'm asking is, do I need to buy my tickets RIGHT NOW.

I know you save money if you buy before a certain date, but I don't want to have them "sell out" of tickets.

"I think its due to the economy. I think it forced people to save up for viva instead of coming out to vegas twice. :-/"

That's what it was for us. We barely squeaked by for Viva, and wanted to go to the Rave so badly. We started to try to save for it, then about halfway through the summer we decided it just wasn't gonna happen. It was kind of like, f*** this stress. We were stressing out trying to put money aside and were making ourselves crazy on the way.......
Orleans is sold out now! For those that don't have a room yet, you are going to have to call every day to see if there are any cancellations.
Woo! Holy s***. I am SO glad we booked a few months ago. Getting stuck at another hotel when you are used to staying at the host hotel SUCKS. Now I just hope tickets don't sell out. We can't afford to get them for a while.

We are buying tickets TODAY!! I am so excited and relieved. We decided to bust open our VLV piggy bank early to buy our tickets. Every year my husband welds shut an ammo box with a little slot in the top so we can stash money that is not easily accessible. Normally we do not, under any circumstances, bust the bank open until the night before VLV. In this case though, better safe then sorry.
It's our luck that tickets will sell out if we waited so we just pulled out $200, stuck it in the bank and left the rest of the savings in the box. Now that the seal is broken we gotta be careful not to dip into it!
Stay off of Ebay!

I just called Liberty in Long beach , The guy told me that he only has one left ticket avail but as soon as he sells that one he will get more. I was going to go down there and purchase 2 today. but he advised me to not wait too long, I procrastinated to book the Orleans and now its all booked and the Emerald Suites is over booked.
I AM!!!!! F*** that noise. Everything I want or that will fit is either too expensive or too big, too small.....I am done with the vintage search on Ebay.
I am gonna borrow the rest of my outfits and be done with it. I'd rather spend $$$ on some new MAC makeup and shoes anyway. I really need shoes.

We know that feeling!

Got stuck at the Rio last year, because we procrastinated on booking at the Orleans, then the Emerald Suites booked up too and we were like DAMN. The Rio was nice, and we had a very good stay there, but it was horribly annoying and costly having to take cabs back and forth all day and night long.

As far as tickets, we have procrastinated every year until the last minute because they never had a sell out limit before. Now that they are only gonna sell a certain amount, we bit the bullet and broke into our savings to purchase them today.

If that were me. I would have to re-weld the piggy bank. In fact a welded shut piggy bank is a perfect idea. I might just have to do that. hmmmm....
It really works.

If I find myself wanting to pick a dollar out of there, I am gonna have my husband take it to the shop and put a weld back on it.

At this point, we are pretty hard-core about saving money though. Only about a month and a half till Viva and we barely have $200 saved. BAD, bad, BAD! We've got some serious penny pinching to do!
