What Katie Did - SS10
It's hard to imagine a more glamorous start to the new decade with What Katie Did new ranges for Spring/Summer 2010. As well as some new fabrics for old favourite styles, there are brand-new ranges in the forms of pink lacy Sarah lingerie, fabulous vintage style swimsuits, a new overbust corset called Tempest and a range of scandalously sheer Cabaret corsets; plus the black satin Hollywood loungewear and lingerie. Everything in the collection will be available for purchase from www.whatkatiedid.com or from our newly revamped flagship boutique in Portobello Road from Monday 1st March.
Sarah Lingerie
Step into spring in our new dreamy floral lace Sarah Lingerie. The new version of our signature, circle stitched bullet bra is made from soft pink organza with lace overlay. It has the same support and dynamite fifties sweater girl shape as all our other bullet bras, but the delicate colour and feminine fabric gives it a much more romantic feel.
The deep suspender and high waisted knickers are a work of art, if we do say ourselves! Both in rose pink organza, overlaid with floral lace trim and matching ribbon. Semi-see-through and just a little bit saucy, the soft pink colour is also a much more alluring alternative to flesh coloured underpinnings, don’t you think? Wear them under trousers with the suspender belt or the fabulous Sarah waspie. We have been asked for a mini waist cincher more times than we can count and have come up with the Sarah waspie. Based in a 19th century corset design it has truly fabulous cinching properties in the stunning shade of rose-pink. There is no doubt that Sarah is a real show-stopper!
Tempest
Burlesque diva Tempest Storm provided the inspiration for the latest addition to our classic overbust corset collection. The busty Ms Storm would look even more ravishing than usual in the super- curvy Tempest corset with shaped cups and laced hips.
Completing the new corset additions are the Cabaret styles, which are constructed from scandalously sheer fabric, with satin overboning and beautiful ribbon backlacing. Surprisingly hard-wearing, these corsets are real special occasion indulgences – perfect for spring brides and striptease artistes who want to shine even brighter in the limelight!

Thanks to genuine pieces becoming ever rarer and more expensive, we've had innumerable requests for vintage-style gowns and slips over the years. So, with the arrival of the new Spring/Summer '10 season, we thought it about time we turned our hand to authentic loungewear.
Our new Hollywood range draws all its inspiration from the effortless elegance that all undergarments of the time seemed to possess – transforming all women into Silver Screen sirens. The stars of the show are the incredibly sensuous Hollywood Gown, and decadent Hollywood Slip based on an original pattern, and is made from deepest black satin, with cream lace trimming. After designing the gown and slip, we couldn't quite resist adding a set of matching lingerie to completely the collection. In short, our new Hollywood and loungewear and lingerie range has all the elegance of the originals, but none of the delicate, decades-old seams and dry-clean-only impracticality. There's now no excuse at all not to ditch the tracksuit bottoms and be retro glamorous from morning 'til midnight!
Swimwear S/S 10
As the temperatures (hopefully) soar this summer, What Katie Did's new swimsuit range is sure to cause a stir at the British seaside. With all the flattering fit and retro charm of their 1940s and 50s counterparts, these bathing beauties are constructed from the finest quality Italian fabric, making them as equally suitable for salt water and chlorine as they are for lounging elegantly by the poolside.
With What Katie Did's latest collection, there's now no excuse not to be pinup perfect from dawn till dusk, and from the bedroom to the beach!

Yes it is the same pattern as the Sailor corset. To tell you the truth I wasn't sure about the Sailor corset but absolutely everyone I've fitted it on has looked amazing so we decided to do it in plain colours too.

That Tempest corset is hot stuff! Is it the same "template" as the Sailor corset? I have one of those and it's so comfortable!
