new cotton shopper, it would be rude not to take this gorgeous bag out for a little spree. We are sure you would agree it is a far more glamorous and eco-friendly way to…

Clare and I were in the What Katie Did boutique last week discussing the sorrowful state of our corset press coverage. Whilst we get lots of press coverage for our lingerie, our corsets are rarely seen. Clare said that even though we include instruction cards…

I have to admit one of my guilty little pleasures is gossip magazines. I can get away with pretending that they're 'work' as several of them regularly borrow items from What Katie Did for shoots, including News of the World's Fabulous magazine.
Today Fabulous magazine launches
Heels that Heal which involves celebrities auctioning their high heels, as well as a whole range of…

I had a nice surprise this morning when
Bernie Dexter emailed me over pictures from a new campaign she's starring in for
Ellies Shoes who specialise in showgirl style heels. The pictures were taken by
Danielle Bedics who I've been a big fan of for several years. Danielle…

Many years ago I was discussing the passing of time with a friend who told me 'just you wait until you're 30, it really starts speeding up then!' She was right, but what she didn't tell me that once you hit 35 time starts to spiral out of control. Whilst in my head I'm still thinking it's March, we are in fact in September and at
What Katie Did we're currently working on designs for next…

Saturday morning saw me up far too early to catch the Eurostar to Paris for Mode Paris, a huge lingerie trade show. I grabbed the Saturday Times to read on the way and was excited to find that Liberty of London had included a magazine about their AW09 collections in with the paper. It was only included with newspapers in the London region so I was very lucky to be in London on that day.…

Living in a little village makes finding slightly less mainstream publications quite difficult to find. A couple of years ago I asked my local corner shop to special order me a copy of Pop magazine which we were featured in. A few weeks later the corner shop was taken over and I was quite surprised to find a big stack of Pop magazines on the shelf as soon as the next issue was published. I snapped up my copy and started feeling more than a little awkward…

We're currently looking for a picker/packer in our Pangbourne warehouse.
The job is entry level and involves picking customer orders, wrapping them and sending them to customers.
What Katie Did is a growing company so although the job is entry level, we are looking for someone who wants to grow with us and continually learn new skills.
We think we're a friendly bunch and easy to get on with!
We do need someone who is based in the Reading area.…

Poor old Tony Nylons (can be found as The Casting Couch here) is having a bad week. Not only has someone been heavily inspired by his work to make burlesque wallpaper, but The Saturday's 'Just Can't Get Enough' Red Nose Day video is filled with iconic Tony Nylons style pin up images. As Tony says, he, in turn is inspired by classic pin up artists of the 1940s and 1940s and there are only so many ways you can film a girl in a corset looking cute with an iron. Does this mean that sales of his…

Lucha Britannia at The Brits
Now, I know what you're thinking. What does wrestling have to do with What Katie Did? The answer is just as strange as you'd expect. Mam'zelle Maz and Miss Miranda who have both modelled frequently for us are appearing as part of the post Brits entertainment by
Lucha Britannia. The finale is a pillowfight between Mam'zelle Maz (bright pink frilly knickers, fully fashioned stockings and babydoll) and Miss Miranda…

Lily - Gold Label
It's mid January and time for something to cheer us up! Lily is our first 'Gold Label' range. It uses limited edition lace, which in turn limits us to only manufacturing approximately 350 pieces. It is slightly more expensive than our standard lines (the bra retails at £44.50) but it is truly luxurious.
The range, like always, is inspired by a vintage piece - in this case a late 1940s underwired bra I found in Portobello…
