Pinup Momma, Sexy Sophistication as a Single Vintage Mom.

So as long as I can remember, I've always loved vintage everything. People thought I was weird and I conformed to more contemporary styles for as long as I could handle it. I finally chose to embrace my calling to look like a walking June Cleaver/Sharon Osbourne Hybrid when I became a mommy. I divorced and unfortunately, when you look young, people assume the negative. I knew I had to look professional but I hated boring, I had to look adult, but not run-of-the-mill. That's when I pulled out my hair rollers and seamed stockings. I realized that I could look polished and creative at the same time without having to resort to mom jeans or jeggings. For me and my little mini pinup girl, the lifestyle just fits. I bake cookies and sew my own clothes, I put victory rolls in my tot's hair and we both love cheetah print and polka dots. I never had to sacrifice being sexy for being sophisticated and that is what I love the most about the lifestyle. I can be me, turn heads and not have my ass hanging out. ( I'll leave that for kitschy photos...ehehehe). I've also been very aware that it's not just the look, but the talk, the walk and the quirky attitude that comes with it that creates the whole 'genre.' If you want to call it that. I seem to entertain many with my outbursts and random thoughts, since being sometimes scantily clad in pin up garb--although tasteful doesn't sit well with many of my family members on Facebook and I seem to over-entertain my peers to the point I was suggested to start a blog. I'm bringing my friends and admirers here. That way they can continue to appreciate me in all of my disaster without naysayers and b******* that the book-of-face brings. I hope I can live up to your standards and continue to entertain. <3 <3 -Jessi
