I'm sitting here in a mountain of packing boxes procrastinating.

Watching it rain and grumbling, because Lone Star Round-Up starts today and I don't want to trudge around in the muck to go look at beautiful hot rods.

Trying to decide what I should keep with me and what I can put in my storage space.

And most of all trying to figure out how to put my current situation into a tactfully.

All I can really say is that sometimes reality cashes a really big check when we least expect it. Or when we least want it. That adult decisions suck because they come with responsibility that you can't ignore and you have to own up to. And what doesn't kill you, just makes you stronger.

Enough with the vague cliches are already?! okay.

Here's the deal, I have to move back to NM for a little while to take care of the house I have there. I don't really wanna go back. I've grown to love Austin in the last year and most of all, I don't relish the thought of being separated from my man.

What does this mean for Retro-Fitted? It means that right now everything is on hold. At least through the beginning of May. I've got to shove things in my car, including my day job and my dog, and head home to ABQ. I'll be assessing what needs to happen to my house immediately, like new carpet, tile and paint and getting it ready to sell.. And I'll be working my day job while i do this.

Since I can't work on my house 24/7 and I need some distractions and creative outlets, I'll open my Etsy store again in the first week of May, finish a couple of custom orders and start taking new ones. With any luck I'll also be posting new Playsuits, halter dresses and more halter tops for the summer months.

By the end of the summer, the plan is to be back in Austin, and TADA..... To have dedicated space for Retro-Fitted!! That's right, no more corner of the second bedroom. A full studio space, with the ability to take custom orders and have fittings, trunk shows and become a more active part in the amazing community here in ATX.
