Adventures and thoughts of the Busy Pinup Momma

So, I'm no June Cleaver when it comes to cleaning. Sewing, cooking--perhaps. I hate cleaning and procrastinate until the weekend. I'm the Mom of a soon-to-be three year old and I'd rather side step the pile of laundry and curl up and watch cartoons with her after a  8+ hours of rolling perms,cutting hair and giving facials--for no pay during the week ( still a student). During my cleaning hustle, I blare oldies and chase the tot as she darts around the house swatting at the dog with my underpants and wearing my bra as Mickey Mouse ears. I thank Dutch Brothers for the Double watermelon Rebels that I nearly need as an IV drip to keep up with the Mini. Sometimes I feel guilty for letting myself be distracted from one Mommy duty to do another, like folding clothes or cleaning her room to watch Monster's Inc. with her for the millionth time. This is still a learning experience for me and I'm trying to have fun being a mom without being a doormat in her future teen years. I feel like being able to do it all in a pair of heels and red lipstick or torn jeans and a bandana, with some grace, grit and sense of humor is what defines me as a Pinup Momma. Afterall, aren't Pin-Up girls the new Super Women?  We're beautiful, we're saucy, we're the dream girls and career women. We deserve our own battle cry. ;-)

I feel like a super-hero as well!!! Juggling a full-time job, full-time class schedule, 2 children and volunteering for school projects AND trying to keep the house clean, mouths fed, butts wiped, and keeping a smile on my face the whole time is ULTIMATE!
