And it's nothing to do with us...

Today was a mess - but a different kind from yesterday's. Today was more like a banana split that's been dropped - too sweet, too sticky, too much.



I got all dolled up this morning - but instead of doing it for mysefl, it was more like I was getting ready for battle, gearing up, streaking on my battlepaint.

It never ceases to surprise me..

...from cotton candy happiness, sweet and lovey-dovey glow, sunshine and sun-kissed skin, warmth....from that feeling to the dank, dark depression that blankets and smothers.



And all because of a guy?



How the hell is a grrl suppose to make it in this world if every time she rides so high, some guy can tear her heart out? Or lady, I suppose, if that's your type.



This entire day was a mess. A sick, frustrating mess.

So I want to be amazing. Positively scintillating.

Of course, I should really try to be these things at some other time of the day....not 2:23 in the morning. No wonder I'm too lazy to get all dolled up when it's 'to go' time!



(My fingernails are currently glittergolddusty with a pinstripe of fruit punch and my toenails remind me of stain-glass window colors.)
