How do I go about finding a hair dresser that does a vintage pin up hair style? I want it all, color and a cut !

I would recommend Nina's Hair Parlour but, seeing as you are the other side of the world to her salon, it seems a little bit extreme for a hair cut and style. I have a modern hair cut but can still do most pin up/vintage styles. I learnt by watching youtube videos and found one channel particularly useful; the link to it is below...

I hope that helped and gave a little inspiration!

I would add into your post where you are, that way if there are other people near you, they can tell you where they go. We have a bunch of places here in the bay, just let us know where you are.
How silly of me...I live in Colorado, right next to Utah pretty much. Does anyone know where or how to get a pin up cut and color? I am willing to even do it myself just wondering how to get started!
Thank you Roxie Roulette, I have seen her on youtube before and actually did my last models hair by watching her. I guess I need to know how to cut my bangs like bettie page or color it with big chunks so it looks modern yet still pin up. But yes, that did help!
Pin Up Hair is usually a Basic Layer Hair Cut. Now the tricky part knowing how long the layering needs to be for the desired look... here is are Video by LisaFreemontStreet on Youtube. She explains it allot better than i could writing it.. Enjoy I hope this helps allot.

If you are confident enough you can go ahead and colour your hair yourself. I would recommend you have a friend to help out, but to be honest I always dye my own hair, including panel sections and it comes out fine - it's all about making sure you seperate it really well from the rest of your hair.

I did watch it, thanks so much. I'm ready now!
You are so right about doing it myself...I know I can pull it off and I do know a few girls that can spot me. Thank you! I'll post pics of it soon, I'm so inspired right now! Thank you everyone for your help. xoxo Brooke
Wow! I love this woman! I need to start practicing my pin curls, but does anyone know a shop (I'm in the UK) or website where I can get pin curl grips from? Boots don't seem to sell them anymore.
