technical difficulties

Sorry i've been m.i.a. for a while; my figgin' computer got a Trojan and crashed!!! It's currently under quarentine and is yet to be repaired. This happened because our antivirus protection, Panda, apparently let one slip past the radar. I think we need a better program; my dad's doesn't really trust Norton or MacAfee (we've been through both) and we need something more efficient. A few of my friends recommended Kapersky antivirus, claiming it eliminates every kind of virus imaginable (it just named the big ones). Has anyone heard of this program and can give me any advice or confirmation as to its alleged reliabilty?

Kapersky is great, highly recommended. Additionally for spyware use "AdAware"

Kapersky is decent, I haven't had any trouble with it. I also use one called NOD which also does the job. Like Daddy Cool said though, get some spyware too.
