Hi, I'd just like to know if anyone can help out with this...I really need to find a job soon but I'm sick of the day jobs I've had so far. I'm thinking of working as a dominatrix but I have NO idea how you get started..any advice? Tips? I''ve been thinking about this for a very long time..I've been into this sorta thing since I was a kid actually I just didn't know it had a specific label and that others were into it too.

Please stay on topic. If all you want to do is judge and insult me DON"T BOTHER. I will NOT respond to stupid comments. Thank you!

This is the dungeon Anita, relax and enjoy without being judged
First off, you need to ask yourself if you're willing to do all the things involved in making yourself a good, effective Domme worthy of tribute and then ask yourself if you're willing to do all of these things with complete strangers. Though sex itself with a paying submissive is prohibited, you have to remember that the end result for most submissives (not all, there are exceptions) is sexual gratification or the release enjoyed from giving over control of mind and body to the Dominant person. It's not for the weak-minded.

I suggest checking out any of the numerous websites devoted to the lifestyle and seek out a professional to train with. As with any job, it's not something you can just fall into overnight no matter how interested or active on a personal level you've been throughout your life. A certain amount of training is warranted to ensure a safe, sane, and consensual experience for all involved...
you need to ask yourself many things dear.
are you into it.
being with a domme who inst into the lifestyle isnt fun. and isnt worth a subs time.
are you willing to get into it for people you dont know?
this is draining and does take a toll on ones personal life.
being a pro domme is hard work emotionaly and physicaly.
you have to become a seperate person for the time you spend with your clients. you have to become what they want. there is no sex involved, but it is a kind of prostitution, i dont mean to demean it. i know of lots of pro dommes whom i respect and who love their work. but they have LOTS of resourses and time to do it. where will you preform your services, what equiptment do you own and do you have a love for domination? lets go from there.
Both of these ladies are BANG on! It is definatley not an occupation that you can just get into, so to speak...or atleast get into with out some basic steps. It would be an asset to find a domina that would be willing to train you :) for everyones benefit <3 as mentioned above it can also be very emotionally draining, you need to build relationships and you have different roles and connections with each individual, So you need to be prepared for that...In the same token that is what is exciting about it, the fact that everyone is so diverse, but at the same time not. I would sugget looking into your community for some assistance ie) local papers, BDSM shops, "groups" within your city...I would also suggest it is a job, not to persue just for the sake of needing a job...people are trusting you to look after them, although in a different sense...so it is more than just a job :)
You also need to ask yourself if you are open to what some of these people might want. I used to know a domme and the things that she told me some of her clients enjoyed were OUT THERE. It was stuff I couldn't have written. But, just be sure to do your research and talk to those who do it for a living.
Hi, well..thanks for the advice everyone.
Now to be honest I don't care for "building relationships" with most people. It sounds extreme but after all the s*** people have put me through, I don't feel like "connecting" with most of them. I've gotten really sick of human beings. So...this job is probably NOT for me. Problem is most jobs involve social interaction and "relating" to people..even a job at McDonalds requires that. I'd just love to be a professional writer and artist at home, that might be the best route for me to go. If only I could do that..
Oh and don't insult me because I don't like most people..you'll only prove my point. Thanks!

Why can't you? Now while I haven't exactly been making 'big bucks', I do what I want creatively on a daily basis. This is due to the fact I don't like people either, and find that being in my own head, I can get stuff done and not have to be bothered by inane things.

To me, what I do is way harder than any 'regular' job but completely self-satisfying.
Just saw this post, it's a very late reply but you can check out Midori's website, she has books and classes dealing with this. You can also email her for advice, she is very knowledgeable about this and can give you leads on how to achieve your goal.
