Calling all artists! A contest...

[Bootstraps Burlesque]

Bootstraps Burlesque has decided to hold a "Design our Logo" contest...starting now!
The challenge is to take the idea of a 1950's doll head as the concept but draw and play with it however you feel would be a fitting logo for our burlesque troop. The winning image will be promoted on our posters and merchandise and also plastered all over our website(s), profiles, and social network profiles. The artist who designs the chosen image will also get promoted on all of our profiles/website and will be receiving a gift basket with examples of the merchandise that will be adorned with the new design!

And as many drawings submissions as you want

You are also welcome to upload your submission in this discussion if you want feedback from PL members!

Sure! You can be from anywhere since this is all going to be exchanged over the internet anyhow. Glad you want to participate and looking forward to your submission!

We've actually had a few people asking for more information so here is a list of nouns and adjectives for inspiration:
Feathers, Pin Curls, Finger Waves, Big Eyelashes, Doll faced girl, dark purple (our troop color!), sassy, sexy, powerful.

There are some things I can clue you all in on. The troop LOVES dark purple (it's our troop color) and deep reds too. We of course love the idea of an old doll face gal with pin curls/finger waves. Kind of a Betty Boop-ish look but more mature. I think it would look best digital since it's going to be screen printed on panties and t shirts. The trick is making it look like a logo. I draw too but this to me is above my head! Good luck ladies, thanks for your time!
