Don't be a pinuparazzi!

My friend who is a photographer is no longer shooting at the car show there, and doesn't plan on shooting at many car shows anymore because of the pinuparazzi.

My friend will pay a model, pay for hair and make up, spend time setting up a shoot, then, when she's finished, and shooting the model, there will be 30 other photographers behind her shooting her model. That's just uncool.

Anyone else have this problem? It's one thing to stop a pretty girl and ask to take her picture (some girls I know won't pose for someone they don't know) but to glom onto someone else' shoot, is like stealing from them.

I think if the photographer is paying the model it would be considerate of the model to stop posing after the shoot with that photographer is over. Why after getting paid to do something would you still do it for free immediatly after anyway?
i never have that prob
At the car show in Vegas, in past years, there was plenty of room to walk around and the cars weren't cloistered close together. Lots of great shots came out of the Vegas car show. I am not sure if that is still the case, since I have spent little time at the car show last year and the year before. I think last year, the car show did seem more crowded than years past.

In an environment like VLV, there's no way to control your set. That why you arrange the shoots away from the venue. For example I've reserved a suite at the Venetian and obtained permission from management to use the pool there.

By the way, how can you get good images when there's hundreds or maybe thousands people hanging around getting in the way?

I don't think you understand...other photographers are snapping away DURING the shoot.

People tried to do that when I was shooting with Mitzi last year. It was Friday too.....not even Saturday! She would shoot me, then we'd be walking to another location and I would have some one come up and ask to take my pic. Not just dudes with their own digital camera or camera phone, but full on pro photographers with their gear. I mean COME ON! I would just politely say no and keep walking.

There really is nothing you can do about folks with their camera phones or digis....I mean that is expected. But yeah, people that are supposed to be professionals....what are you thinking?
This is why I built my sets and am bringing them with me to shoot in private at viva ha ha
tham right that happen to me once it messed up my weekend.....
