Tiki Pool Party?

I have never gone...I usually am up until 7 am the night/morning of the party, and except for last year has always been on Easter and I have spent the day at my Father's in Vegas with my family.

This year, I will be at Vegas without the family, is the Pool Party worth losing my beauty rest for?

We've never gone either!! It's soooo damned early for us. We're usually not up until 2 or 3 in the afternoon. We caught the tail end of it last year just as everyone was filing out of the pool area, and ran into a few friends of ours that said they'd just decided to stay up all night and go to it. We had plans to meet up with them later but ended up not seeing them again! They probably went to their rooms and never woke up....:) Everyone swears that it is the coolest thing ever and that we are missing out. I just can't imagine missing any of the bands on Saturday night to go to bed and be up early for it. Eh...

I dunno, we keep saying every year that we are gonna make it but I doubt it will ever happen. I really am not fired up about being in a bathng suit anyway!

That is exactly what happened to us last year (the only year we've gone without the kids). We didn't wake up until 2 and said "F*** it!"

I'm not excited about being in a bathing suit in public either...

You think exactly like I do...why miss any of the bands to go to a pool party!

The pool party isn't great for music (there IS live music, but you won't hear/see it unless you're practically on top of the band) but it is PERFECT for finally getting a few hours to relax and talk with your friends and, after three days on your feet in 4-inch heels, SIT. It seems as though it's starting later this year. Maybe to allow folks to sleep in longer?

I have to disagree with you wink. Last year they had a great surf rock band ( cant recall the name) set up pool side and i sat at the bar and heard everything perfectly. The tiki pool party was probably my favorite of all the activities!

Guys, I can't stress howimportant the Tiki Pool Party is...it's my favorite event, by a landslide. Great photo opportunities to bring home the passion and feeling of the Weekender itself too.

I think it's at 4pm this year so no worries about it being ' too early'...:)

If I recall, the bar was NEXT to the bandstand. Those of us on the other side of the bar (or in the pool) couldn't hear anything beyond the general mayhem of live background music. Or maybe my ears were simply shot after so many shows!
