MODELS: Seriously stop wasting photographers precious time.

I've gotten a few private reviews of flakey models here on the site lately, wtf is up with that, how do you feel knowing youve gotten someone interested in working with you, which is something YOU put effort into. Only then to not show up or cancel because your starbucks coffee wasnt built correctly.

I'm going to make a photographer forum for blacklisting flakes. ANY cancellation that is valid is easily worked out, either with a reschedule or a conversation explaining what happened which is enough to keep ya off this list. Its the lamers who don't show up that really shouldn't be on a networking site. Look out soon for this list and think twice before not showing up to a scheduled shot next time.

"I forgot" is not valid, there are plenty of free online calendaring solutions, USE EM.

About time- you wouldn't do it for any other kind of appointment would you? It'd cost you too much to cancel! Make no wonder it's so difficult to have different aspects of the creative industries taken seriously.

Just an update to clarify my train of thought....the intended purpose of this list will not be to start drama for people who didnt work well together, or people who rescheduled. It will be a "No Show, No Call" list. If someone fails to do both of those you're just an turdmuffin and deserve to be on a list for all to see.

If there were pin up photo shoots in Toronto I would NOT take it for granted. If you're lucky enough to live somewhere that gives you opportunities to WORK as a model realize how lucky you are. What I wouldn't do to get work as a pin up model...I'd be there bright and early!! So if photographers or companies intend to come to Toronto some time...I'm available!! And reliable, honest, punctual shall I go on? : P

I Call to the Photog and let them know whats up if i can't make it to a shot.....I've have had car issues that have prevented me going to a shot. I at least let the Photog know.

Flakes suck and they deserve to be blacklisted, but models aren't the only ones who flake, and photographers aren't the only ones whose time is precious.

I see one that tells photographers to stop whining and encouraging them to out flakey models, but I don't see anything about them flaking.

I dunno. Flaking happens. I've had photographer's flake. I've had make up artists flake. I had a hair stylist decide she couldn't make it into the city on time at the very last minute and back out, despite having confirmed the day before (nevermind the fact that I was going to pay her).

It happens. Somehow models always get the bad rep for it though. Not just here, but on OMP and MM as well.

Okay, it looks like we WROTE about starting a sister thread to list no-show photogs, but it didn't get started. I open up the floor to anyone who's had the problem to start a thread and out the bad apples!
