Hats!

I love vintage and vintage-style hats, but find that they don't usually "work" with my hairstyle. Still, I can't seem to stop buying them. Do you collect hats? Do you wear them?

i looooooooooove hats wink! i never wear them though! i wish i did,im normaly not dressed to do a hat justice. i just love the way they pull an outfit together and give it class. most of the time when i see a cute hat in a vintage shoppe i think, oh i will never wear this and i dont even know how to wear it right, and convince myself not to get it. i think its time to make a change and get a hat! now where is my magic money machine......

Hats & gloves - let's bring them back!

I would love to incorporate hats into my wardrobe; I can actually pull them off, for the most part. Learned some basic hat-blocking at school - it's so much fun! That's where I learned of my problem: my head is larger than average! Now whether due to my delicious braaaaaains or thick hair, I don't know, but I can never find hats to fit! Vintage are the worst :(

I could see both of you - Wink and Delyssia - being able to pull off those gorgeously silly little vintage floral numbers that just perch on top of your hair. I'm more of a top hat and wide brims girl.

I am utterly and completely and unashamedly f****** USELESS at sports (and calculus). You would get huge LOLs watching me try to do a handstand, even with a wall to kick against. Can't do it. Should have seen me the first time I walked on a dock - hugegantic LOLs. Ask my SIL (benher); she'll regale you with tales of my inability to master basic things like walking, standing and sitting.

And I only know how to goth dance.

thanks! but i too have the same big head problem, i think its my thick hair, normal, gals hats sit too high. but id love a pill box or dainty little hat!

How cool (I can't believe how much that woman looks like Delyssia)! That hat would look great with my bangs and you know I'd wear the crazy Galliano in a heartbeat, especially with that jacket :)

I was thinking it would be fun to compile a bunch of images from that flickr account that sort of sum up how I see my Poppy-ness, but there's just too many! Almost the entire 20's-30's set for starters...

I love hats as well! When I was a little girl I would ware my grandma's hats all the time & never take them off! haha My love for Vintage, Retro, Hats & Facinators is what made me start to create different Millinery styles my self!

I wear fascinators & they look pretty ridiculous on me with my own hair....So I cheat & wear extensions / falls so that my hair looks fuller & then the fascinators look awesome!! Definatly invest in some fake hair! :) XxXxX
