"We Are The New Vintage"

What we need done:
We basically need a full out community website similar to myspace.com built for a new model/photographer website we are building. The site will have many of the features from myspace.com, modelmayhem.com, and facebook.com.

T-minus 6mo before it becomes a clusterfuck of GWC's. And if he's taking cue's from his s*** ass personal/professional website then fo sho it will "blow up".

PS: Andrew when you backtrack the hotlink thanks for loading like 100 huge images at once on a single page and pushing the boundary on what could be the largest right scrolling page ever. I think the entire game of Super Mario Brothers had less right scrolling.
And gotta love his parent company's site: http://520venture.com/
Trust me, click on COMPANY at the top to learn more... rofl
It's funny you said you could use more gigs... that is the main thing I have noticed about all the modeling sites I have been on. They are catered toward "professional" models, photographers, designers, stylist, etc, but the problem is there are no clients! A pro model isn't going to pay a photographer, and a pro photographer isn't going to pay a model (with some exceptions of course), so everyone wants to do things TFP, and everyone b****** about it. A new site taking bits and pieces of all the others isn't going to be any different! Now if someone would start a site that was about getting models, photographers and the people that hire them together, then that would be worth joining, otherwise it's SSDD.
At least here on PL, it's more about the community rather than getting work so things are a lot more supportive.

Exactly! There are agencies in town for pro representation, but I don't fall into the required 5'8"-6', size 4 category so they won't touch me. Besides, my particular "look" isn't exactly what makes them money. (NOTE: If you're a 6-foot tall gal, and wearing a size 4... come here dear and let me make you a milkshake.) I'm happy to do a certain amount of TFP (I do this because I enjoy it, after all), especially for products/companies that I adore, but a girl still needs to pay the bills!
I like PL because of the social aspect, and if that's defined as "networking," well so be it. But I really have come to regard the people here as a sort of family. Definitely friends, and support, and got-your-back kind of camaraderie. If a job comes out of it, that's a bonus!
