What is everyone doing in preparation for Vegas? Does anyone always get things ready the last minute?

Right now I am preparing my 50 pontiac to drive from Vancouver Wa. This will be its first long road trip out of the area since I have had it.

See everyone there!

I start planning my wardrobe way in advance, so I have time to buy or sew missing elements. Also, I've already gone through the schedule and added my Must Sees to my Google calendar. I can then spot, at a glance, that I'll miss the start of Pinup-A-Looza, because it overlaps with one of the burlesque shows. For instance. :)

Looking forward to seeing your Pontiac!
This April is the craziest busiest April I have ever had! My preparations have been going on for a year!

Aside from organizing with my club the Booze Broads and Hotrods show in San Francisco the week after Viva, I have organized our headliner's mini-tour, and arranged transportation and lodging for them.

Working for Kim Lenz, I am working constantly towards her record release at Viva, and tour dates after.

Thursday, April 2, I pick up the Go Getters from the airport, and host them so they can do a pre-viva party here in San Jose, CA. Then I will drive them to Sacramento so they can play a show Saturday April 4. Sunday, April 5, I am a bridesmaid in my friend Rea's wedding, where the Go Getters are playing the reception.

I will be doing packing and prep work for Viva Mon-Wed, but I think I have my wardrobe sorted, and I can always do a little shopping at Viva if I can find the time!

Wed AFTER viva, I am hosting Jack Rabbit Slim and doing some site seeing before driving them to Long Beach. Friday after Viva, I drive back to work the Kim Lenz Norcal Record Release. Saturday, Booze Broads and Hotrods...Sunday after Viva, I can sleep.
Did everything LAST MINUTE last year....will never make that mistake again. My husband and I both forgot to pack some items and it was an inconvenience having to find the nearest CVS to buy s***. I also forgot an important pair of shoes and some cash I had stashed away in the closet.

This year I am making a check list for packing, I already started it last night. All cash will be deposited in the bank 48 hours before hand.

I always work out more, watch what I eat, and cut back on the alcohol every year about 2 months before Viva. Gotta be able to squeeze into all of those nice dresses and cute outfits, and I want my liver to be well prepped for the mass alcohol consumption.

The car is a few weeks away from being ready, all we need is a couple hundred dollars in parts and an exhaust job (already lined up)

I can't wait!!!!!!!!
Sounds like you have your work cut out for ya.. Planning ahead is good! Lookin for ward to seeing you there!

My car will be hopefully ready to go this weekend. Got a new oil pump to install, check fluids, and some minor pieces to put together. Otherwise ready to roll!! I also have to hit the exhaust shop as well.

You should invest in AAA Premier, it's around $100.

Older cars can be a little temperamental, I swear they sometimes have a mind of their own.

With it you get a tow up to 200 miles, 1 day comp car rental, locksmith, emergency travel and medical assistance, $1500 for trip interruption.

Pack spare fluids like motor/transmission, and couple of gallons of water, check your spare tire, a flashlight with extra batteries.

Most of all drive carefully, the dessert is a dangerous place.
