Is there a reason why you model?

I have a strong bond with animals they are a important part in my life I have always been around them my first pet was a bunny she was like my kid. Now that I model I will raise money for animals, to give does creatures a better home will make me the happiest person on earth.

That's a nice thing to do! There's a couple of pin-up calendars I've seen for animal charities.

I sponsor a dog with the Dogs' Trust in the UK - it's to support dogs that can't be rehomed. It breaks my heart when I watch Animal Cops and because the way humans have treated a dog, it means it has to be destroyed. So I decided to help out. I'd be rubbish at having a dog myself, so that's the most I can do.

Me, I do photoshoots because they're fun! ;)

That is a great reason, cheers to you! Mine, is not so amazing...I was in a horrible relationship for many many years and my self esteem was in the toliet. I felt like being 30 and a mom was not anything that needed to be in front of a camera. Not to mention I was 70lbs heavier! I spend so much time taking care of my family, and schooling I forgot how to be feminine. Okay long story, blah blah but I am just getting started modeling and I am having a blast. I love how it makes me feel. I guess everyone has a story huh? HAHA Keep up the great work!!!

I don't model for any cause, but I did start a line of customized pet ID tags back in January of 2008, and $2 (my entire profit margin) from each one goes to Colorado Pit Bull Rescue. With entirely no fanfare, because it's a tax- and legal-bunglefuck to make a donation as a business.

i like the tags too... post in the marketplace.. !!!!!
i model cause: i lOVE vintage ELVGREN... i want to not so much "re-create" or "re-make" or "copy"... i use his work as a strong influence, and create my own elvgren style shoots!!!

i like to live a vintage lifestlye in ANY way, and forming mylife around a really cool medium, such as pinup, just fits in so perfectly with my everyday life!!!

i heart pinup with all my heart!!!

Hmm... I model for three reasons that I've been able to figure out.

1) I'm an actress and as far as I'm concerned modeling is acting. It's an outlet to tell a new story and play a new character every shoot. Addictive, I tell you! ;)
2) I need to create things or I get depressed and go stir-crazy. So, whether its costumes, photos, paintings, sculptures... I'm always making something.
3) It's incredibly empowering! I think every gal who's stepped in front of the lens will agree that it's a huge boost to see themselves looking all foxed up and fabulous.

I guess I'm not nearly as altruistic as you, Mademoiselle... Unless you consider increasing the amount of sexiness in the world a worthy cause. ;)

I'm a frustrated actress so yes, that's one of my reasons too. And being creative.
