Starting a new business.. Advice from the pros please!

I am starting a photography company and I am currently running into some issues. I have had a few photoshoots. My main problem is getting people to pay for the shoots. I have a few models that have offered to do TFCD. My question is do I keep doing TFCD until I can get people paying or should I just hold off until I get some paying clients? I am currently trying to erect backdrops so that way I have more to work with. But does anyone have any advice for me?
