I'm wanting to do a little waist cinching with a cinching corset. Not to an extreme but to see some deffinition (i have a naturally boyish, or "athletic" figure).
Where might i be able to buy a good quality corset meant for just that? Inexpensive as well... i've seen a lot of custom made corset places online that are selling for around $200. I'm interested in something already made and price range around $100.
Any tips will do! Thanks ladies!

Leg Ave sells a decent black waist cincher with real boning for about that much. Nothing special, but it's a good "starter" corset. You can find them at some alt type stores. Where you'd find them in your area might be a chore, but I know they still make them cuz we just made an order for our store, Cherry Redd. Message the store if you can't find it elsewhere...

I checked out leg ave. and i looked like mostly costume wear. Heavy red seemed to have some sturdier pieces. and a good price too.
I'm def planning on working my way into a real corset, and i've been really excited about getting the process started!
fredricks of hollywood has cheap "corsets" like 45 bucks, they do the job of acentuating the curves but are not as sturdy as real corsets are. go with a waist cincher , they are normaly cheaper than full corsets. and remember to take is slow with your cinching! and properly!
OOOOOO OMG!! EBAY go here: http://stores.ebay.com/Meschantes-Corsetry
hard core heavy duty training corsets and MORE
I just bought one.. absolutely worth it.. and not that expensive.. i mean.. 20 steel bones for $120 !!!
LOVEIN' IT!
I have a few corsets, some heavily boned, but my favorite that I wear under dresses is not boned, but made very sturdy of reinforced fabric. It is made by "Design Masters" and has a web address on the label of www.assons.com .

This corset does the job of cinching my waist at least 3 or 4 inches, but I am able to bend over in it and I don't get "sausage hips". It really is an amazing corset for not being boned and the most comfortable one I've ever worn.
Okay, Sugar Kitty Corsets has some fantastic stuff! You can even ask for custom made corsetry. The designer is an absolute sweetheart AND she can do just about anything. http://www.sugarkittycorsets.com

They have steel-boned underbust corsets for $95! I have 3 of theirs and they're good value for the price :)

I've seen them called "Training" corsets, but are you really "training" any part of the body to do something different? or is it just shaping. Like will it magically alter your figure when used consistently???
this is what I think I know:
you can wear a corset at any time, and it will accentuate your waist. But if you are training your waist, (in order to get it smaller 4-6" than you natural waist WHEN IN A CORSET - your body will not magically transform when you take it off) then you use a thicker canvas type corset with steel bones (training corset) that you wear under your clothes for a few weeks, or months, depending on how far you want to go.. i mean, dita von tease has trained her waist to 16" !!
This is basically compressing your ribs and training you how to breath, eat, drink, sleep in a corset so your body is more comfortable, not to mention improving your posture, poise, and sometimes even actual waist size (due to the small meal sizes and muscles tightening during training)
I wouldnt know this, but i am training right now.. it kinda sucks.. but im down 2" in 2 weeks!! :)

Don't forget our very own PL member Delilah's Collection. Their online store has a huge inventory, but you can find great deals, if a much smaller selection, on their eBay page.
Ooh, there are some great deals in there, thanks for the link Wink!
