Sex ReCESSION.....

I was watching /listening to the morning News today and I heard some thing that caught my attention...SEX RECESSION....I droped my curling iron walked over to the TV and heard the Discussion. The anchors spoke about Americans and the effect the Recession is having on their love life.
The question asked was this:
Does how much money you make effect your sex life? And is the Recession Effecting your love life?
A Poll by Daily Beast says,
"Americans believe people with more money have more sex in general, more partners, and more affairs. Rich people agree, reporting a more-active sex life, plans for more sex in 2009, and less long-term concern about their relationships and the economy. But for people making less than $75,000, things look bleak: They are more pessimistic about the future, more likely to feel a negative impact on their relationships, and more likely to argue about both money and sex. My thought exactly.I was in disbelief when I heard Sex Recession.....they went on talking about people that are depressed and talking Depression pills! I was yelling at the TV...she needs to stop popping pills and Get some McLovin! it cures everything! lol

I can kinda see how this would be right. When you don't know if you can pay your bills and rent, and are worried about the future you tend to get more depressed, and if you send all day worried and upset, I guess you might lose interest in sex. Not everyone, but I'm sure there are people out there like this.

Maybe just not the hotties on this board... ;)

For me, yes. I suffer from an extremely low sex drive when I am under alot of stress. My stress level has been through the roof, and yes it is directly related to money matters and the recession. Me and my husband still maintain a decently healthy sex life, but it's no where near what it's like when times are good.

NO WAY! I should have been polled too! Winter months are hard to get through and with working in the bar industry it's the one thing my man and I still and always will have and it's free! We take full advantage ;)

Ohhh I ain't young at all and still have a lot to learn. Money issues come and go like night and day. I take great comfort knowing that as long as I have my family with me giving the best emotional support and love makes all my troubles go away. Coming together at night knowing we still have each other makes it all better ( grins and blushes)

Well, i agree with you...money problems create tensions within a couple who have mortgages to pay and dependents to look after...i suppose for younger people, it seems unrealistic, but for people who are 35 years old plus, like me, it makes sense...
I cared about nothing when i was young except having fun, now, its a whole different board game!
Still,i am proud to add that marriage and kids included, i still have the best sex life ever and no...i am not rich!

i have no cable and no game station because we are broke, what else is there to do..... haaaa
but i have to say when im stressing over money, if im stressed out i either want it to cure my tension or not at all, so it can go both ways. i can see how worring about money could effect it.
