MAC or PC

I have been a PC user my whole life. I do know the MAC structure but im no Pro. I know my PC from top to bottom. I can pretty much find anything and everything in my computer. I am a bit apprehensive about converting, but I recently went on my friends MAC and used his CS3 and wow its quick easy and OMG its QUICK! I think i transferring over. I feel like a cheater but omg it feels so good! LOL! Ok so heres the discussion for this ummmmm discussion. lol. What do you like PC or MAC? And why do you like it? Would you convert? If not why not?

Look doesn't typically concern me as I'm more about performance, but to walk into our studio is something else... Blacked out equipment, blacked out walls, brushed alluminum trim and glass offices. We're in the process of building out a new studio that will look 10x badass. To me, however, the look is only for the clients.

Oh... and that one-button-mouse... drives me absolutely insane! I know you can get multi-button mice for MACs, but they should really pull their heads out and just ship them with their computers.

Very very true and nicely stated. Going into the Vain Section of me what to you think about the look tho. I was just in a buddy of mine studio. and His whole office is White MAC'd out and crazy lamps. It looked dope. LOL! I use to love my PC but ive so vulnarable to viruses.

I'm PC all the way. I like being able to get into the guts of my system and fix things when I need to. To me MACs are like those people that are so smart they're stupid... It's so easy it's impossible. I run my PCs hard, doing everything from web/graphic design to editing HD video for broadcast to 3D animation, and they have never let me down. Plus - it all depends on what you want to do. I know that diferent tasks in Photoshop perform differently on MAC and PC. Some are faster on the Mac and some are faster on a PC.

PC... MAC sucks because everything breaks. PC may have stolen MAC's idea but PC took it and made it way better. You can't customize a MAC at all... I like to upgrade my parts, not buy an entirely new computer. The iPhone even sucks. Sorry I'm VERY passionate about this subject.

Actually... Both Microsoft and Apple stole their GUI ideas from Xerox. They were the first to come up with the Graphical User Interface. ...Just a little bit of useless information you'll never need to know.

And you really don't need to upgrade macs, I was crushing newer windows machines with my dual prog G5 until last yr (thats close to 5yrs of service), then I bought a my 8 core Mac Pro. I'll be gobbling up windows machines for a few more yrs. Its all in quality control and selection of parts. They removed the ability to customize the machines for a reason. They make them solid to begin with. How many hooked up bentleys do you see on the road, Rolls Royces? Compare that to Hondas, and Toyotas, all of them highly customizable and too many examples of stuff gone wrong. IF Microsoft standardized hardware and made their own, there is no doubt in my mind less windows machines would crash around the world. Don't get me wrong here tho, i'm all about custom s***, my iPhone is pimped the f*** out with more useless s*** than i could imagine. My Mac Pro has an upgraded video card and 8GB of RAM. I rock 4 1TB Internal drives, so to say that it isnt customizable is wrong. More like, it is less breakable. You're pretty much allowed to touch anything you should be allowed to touch =) And that's coming from a tech. Did I mention when I sold my 5yr old Dual Proc G5 I got 2K cash without any bargaining???

Don't get me started on the iphone! I have heard sooo many negative things about them not working. You have to keep in mind, they aren't just phones, they are mini computers. Anything that can go wrong with a computer can go wrong with an iphone. I might get one in a few years, but right now the idea is way too new.

i use both and i even run windows on one of my macs, but like everyone has said it is the right tool for the right job.

I'm both a MAC and PC user. Used a PC my whole life but....once I got the MAC, I'll never go back! The MAC software is so much better and I feel everything is more user friendly. You won't regret getting a MAC, go for it!

Don't get ME started on people saying iPhones break... How many cell phones have you owned in your lifetime? Probably a new one every couple months.. Yeah, I thought so. My iPhone has a crack all the way through the screen, and is still functioning flawlessly! My Macbook is the same way!
Dude, once you get a Mac, you're NEVER gonna wanna use a PC again! FOR ANYTHING! Trust me! Everything is drag and drop... ssooooo simple!

GET A MAC, AND GET AN IPHONE!

I have taken steak knives at outback to my iPhone screen, I have dropped it on concrete, i DO NOT take care of it...not a scratch, never an issue. Do I wish I could change the battery? sure...do i wish I could receive MMS msgs? sure! but thats all coming.

Dee's broke because she dropped it on a rock parking lot. it landed directly on a rock and you can see the point where it impacted, it split straight across from there and functions 100%. Macs are f****** tanks. Did you know that the iphone isnt everyday glass? Its satellite optical grade glass. s*** doesn't scratch from normal use.
