The Presidential Debates...

What did everyone think of last nights debates? Besides the fact that Palin really really does look like Tina Feys mom =)

It's weird...I know I should be approaching this from a more rational viewpoint, but everytime I hear Palin speak I freeze up like a deer in the headlights and panic. The idea that everything that she believes in and stands for is so close to the presidency...well, honestly, it horrifies me.

One thing, I noticed though, that she was remarkably good at that Biden didn't seem to catch up to - she stared directly into the camera as though she was addressing the people, while he looked at the...judge? Mentor? I'm not sure what to call the woman who was asking the questions.

I think they call her the mediator, i thiiiink, and you are so right. Palin did a a pretty damn good job of leading it as far as the connection with the audience. When she spoke it was like she was talkin to me which helps with that connection. She's so momlike tho...is that a good thing? A bad thing? I dunno, something about always using maverick and main street drove me crazy. I thought that Bidens attempt to talk about his home depot trips etc was a recognizable effort but...he went on and on and it became a failed attempt due to going over the top with it.

I have a feeling this whole election is turning in a failed mess...whoever garners the most flash and sparkle and controversy seems to be winner. And that saddens me.

More later, I think - I'm too depressed to even think about politics any further. ^_^

I feel the same way about her saying "Maverick". I'm such a nerd and everytime i hear it I want to watch Top Gun again for the billionth time.

well i thaught it was funny, sarah up against joe. just funny. i wish that the first woman vice pres , possible pres, was one of better charachter and thoughtfulness .

I was surprised yet again. The Presidential debate surprised me because i thought Obama was going to wipe the floor with Mccain. Obama has always been the better speaker, but he did pretty well. And now the vp debate, I thought Palin was going to suck, but she really stepped up her game. And it must've been a really bad night for Biden. Alot of what he said as contradictory to what Obama has said. It was pretty bad.
Palin looked pretty darn hot, too :P

I'm so Independent it's hard for me to choose who I like. Debates always make me antsy because I feel so strongly about certain points. I'm just scared of Palin.

I don't know if I'm ready for McCain OR Obama to be President. I want Stephen Colbert!!
