What makes a great Pick Up Artist?

Honesty...charisma...appearance. Those are the most important things, to me.

I agree with Betty Sue. But also really imp is someone who is paying enough attention to the act to be able to retrieve all your articles of clothing. Good luck, I very fondly remember the days I was PUA.

Hmmm... Great question! Here's my two cents. A great pick-up artist is a stage manager, props master, costume assistant and performer.

She should be organized so she can keep track of what needs to be placed on stage ( set pieces and props) and picked up (props, costumes pieces and set pieces) for each act.

A sense of responsibility is a big deal, too, for me. It's the PUA's job to make sure that everything makes it back to the performer after their act is over. Burlesquer's spend a lot of time, love and money on their costumes and props. So, a PUA who take that responsibility seriously is a winner in my book.

Finally, a PUA should have a personality! She should be able to banter with the host and interact with the audience comfortably... in case she needs to wrestle a glove or stocking from an over-zealous fan...

A good pick-up artist is worth her weight in GOLD! That's why they're called "artists"! ;D

But, don't worry- you've got all that and more...
