I'm loving these discussions. So I'm just curious about what the reactions have been from friends and family when you told them that you're indeed going to follow your dream and become a Pin-Up Model/Burlesque Dancer/Photographer/Artist so on and so forth....

I'm sure there have been some pretty unique reactions.

I just started modeling and I love it! My husband likes it too, as long as it is his on "his terms". I told him that once I get to the weight I want to ideally be at, I would like try burlesque dancing. He said NO WAY! That was too much of me for other people to see. I think it's beautiful and its a shame he doesnt want to enjoy it with me.

I feel the same way....I keep things to myself. My mom has told me that I should do pinup, but then when I said I was going to do a few shoots, she was totally opposite. So I just feel its better to keep it to myself at least for the time being.

My husband enjoys my photos but likes to horn in on what I think should be "my" thing right now. The way I've kept him appeased is by using him in a couple shoots. He gets to participate and that keeps him happy for a little while.

My mom is against modeling of any sort (something about her perception being that girls who model are conceited) and my mother in law loves my pictures. It's nothing too big right now but one can dream.

My family has always been supportive of whatever I want to do. I love this world, and I surround myself with people that think it's great. If I did come across someone who didn't like what I did, I wouldn't waist my time on them. Luckily, i'm surrounded by open minded people who support me no matter what. I wouldn't have it any other way.

I can't imagine a boyfriend or husband being able to control or satisfy you! Even I'm only 2 3rds of your previous standards. lol!

Me too! I'm glad to know it's not just me. My friends know, but my family doesn't at all because they are very conservative.

THat's exactly how my parents are! My mom is convinced something bad is going to happen to me, even when I explain that I check referenced throughly, so I keep my mouth shut.

Oh my mom believes something bad will happen to me just by stepping out the door...if I'm going out she always asks when I'll be back (I must lie and say it'll be three hours earlier then I actually intend..) and she says "Please take care of yourself!". Let me clarify..she's a Hispanic mom so that should explain everything. : P
