Pinup and Porn.. where is the line? NWS!! SORRY!!!

Ok.. so i was looking at this new site thing, pinupparkinglot.. or whatever.. it seems like, to me, that a LOT of pinup models are getting more and more edgy.. or.. naked..
I know there different categories of modeling, but where does the line get drawn as far as pinup style portfolios??

ABSOLUTELY NO OFFENSE to the photographers or models.. these photos are beautiful.. but are they "pinups"?????

Christine Kessler and Emily Marilyn (model on the ground) are well established in the fetish photography world. I would assume that if they were doing "pin up" shoots, their photos would be edgier, but it isn't what I consider "pin up."

Personally, I feel that pinups...and art in general...is subjective. Whether it be Retro or Fetish or Glam, I think it speaks for itself. It's up to the viewer to decide.

Who is the model in the first photo? She looks like Asia Divinyl, but I couldn't imagine Asia doing a photograph like that.

I think for some people, retro pin-up is a fetish for them. Also, Bettie Page's legendary Irving Klaw photos were ALL fetish. It was her photos with Bunny Yeagher that established her as a "pin-up" and not just a fetish model. I would analyze it as fetish photography and pin-up photography have a cross-over audience.

That first photo is Angela Ryan? I thought that was her with Emily. Angela, is another established "fetish model" who does a lot of nude photography.

The first thing that came to my mind when I saw these pics was not that they were pin-up shots at all, totally MY opinion! I think that they are fetish pictures that might have a pin-up flair. I know that this is not the kind of pin-up modeling I would want to associate myself with as a pin-up model. Don't get me wrong, there is nothing wrong with these pictures or models!!! I am just saying to me, its not pin-up and it's most definetely not my style.

Great photos. The girls are beautiful, but I wouldn't call this pin up either. Kick ass fetish, but not pin up. I love that bottom one though....

And yes, modern pinup is very fetishy...there is a line tho. a very very fine one. I like to think that by filtering nudity we're right on that line.

I think that pin-up's should be just that - a picture that you would liteally pin up on your wall at work/in you office or wherever the heck you want to. Those, to me, are a little too much towards the porn side of things for me to do that.

They are very good though, even if they are a little racy haha.
