I play the violin on stage in costume and find that my costumes always look a tad incomplete. I think what I need is gloves, but being a violinist I need very free arms and hands to play. Is there such a thing as handless opera gloves??? They might do the job!!

I would do a search for mousquetaire gloves. They are opera gloves with an opening at the wrist (usually three buttons) that allow you to slip your hand through. They could still potentially get in the way, unless of course you tuck them in. Otherwise, I'd suggest looking for some dainty arm-warmers...that might work as well. xo
Try ebay! Whenever I am searching for something, I try ebay first!
If you can't find them, it seems like a relatively east thing to draft a pattern for. You could sew your own! Do you want them to loop around your thumb or a finger, or do you need your hands completely free?
My recommendation would be to customise opera gloves by having the fabric cover the back of your hand and as Wink suggested, having a small loop (elastic or ribbon) that goes around either your thumb or forefinger.
It's very vintage Vegas Showgirl and is ideal for keeping your hands free!
