Yay! Im so excited! Today I get to eat too much turkey and pumpkin pie with my family. Today is Canadian Thanksgiving! Just wanted to say Happy Thanksgiving to all of you Canadians out there.

Question: why is Thanksgiving on a different day in the U.S?

haha, i had no idea either until my friend that lives in canada told me. why are they on different days?

apparently both days are about different events.
the american thanksgiving is the standard "the natives shared their food with the settlers and they all gave thanks" but i guess it was a different occasion in canada.
something about surviving the trip over i think.
either way.... yay turkey!

Happy Thanksgiving early for me and late for you! I think that our thanksgivings probably stem from different histories. You don't celebrate Thanksgiving as the first meal between the pilgrims and native americans.... do you?
