The Horror Thread

I'm a sucker for horror movies. I'll see anything, anytime, no matter how bad it looks.

Some of my favs are, the Nightmare on Elm St series and House of 1000 Corpses.

Some I wish I had never seen would be Seed of Chucky and Wolf Creek.

So what about you guys? Favorites? One's you'll watch over and over? Things you wish you'd never seen?

Ha Ha! I'm afraid of clowns to this day because of Stephen King's IT. Definitely a good movie to scare you though and it's one of the many reasons I love Tim Curry.

I LOVE Queen of the Damned....but it kinda reminds me oddly enough as a romance as well. I can pretty much watch any horror movie, however if it has a clown...im a HUGE chicken!! I am VERY afraid of clowns....haha

IT was the first movie to scare me. I still get a little squeamish watching it.

Aaaaaaw, no love for "Zombie Strippers"? :))))
I loved it! Laughed my ass off: philosophy references, zombie throw down, pool balls! Maybe I'm just special...

Time I will never get back:
Lost Boys: The Tribe -> Don't do it. Just. Don't. It will violate your memories of the original in ways not even the Khmer Rouge though of.
The Happening -> Oh. God. Its mere existence makes me question my belief in a just and balanced universe.

The most recent horror movie (that turned out NOT to be a horror movie at all) that was TERRIBLE and I wished I never saw was Zombie Strippers. We ended up turning it off because it was so pathetic.
My next horror movie purchase will be Cannibal Flesh Riot by Gris Grimly.

Recently watched "Insidious".  It was better than I expected :)

Cheesy horror flicks (trailer park of terror, zombie strippers, feast, night of the living dorks and blood diner)

Gore (martyrs, house of 1000 corpses, texas chainsaw massacre, and hostel)

Exploitation(last house on the left, I spit on your grave, cannibal holocaust and salo:120 days of sadom)

Zombie (planet terror, Dawn of the dead, dead snow, fido, and night of the living dead)

 

Worst movies: any of the remakes with the exception of halloween have been bad

I'm so glad this thread has come back from the dead. (I know, terrible. LOL)

 

Has anyone seen Scream 4? I'm debating if I should see it in the theater or wait for DVD.

I liked "Zombie Strippers" too!  It was campy and stupid and just plain fun!  I'm not a huge fan of horror, tho.  I'm a big chicken, especially when it comes to clowns and dolls!  *shudders*  I do like the parodies, however.  Shaun of the Dead, Zombie Strippers, etc.  And horror "lite" - Rose Red, Halloween.  Those I can handle!
