So I've been wondering if I should get some bangs or not... All my life I have been taught "Whatever you do with your hair, don't get bangs". To the girls who already have them... are they hard to manage? How long should they be? What do I need to know?

Lets post some pictures of different types of bangs and what to do with them.
Bangs are the most annoying thing ever invented. Although if you have the patience then go for it cause theyre really cute- I made the mistake of cutting myself some bangs in May- Im a pro at cutting them- but I live in Americas heat swamp better known as Florida- and this summer sucked ass ;) I recommend getting bangs if you live in a milder climate- or cut them in the fall and winter and let them grow so you can clip them back in the summer!
i had my bangs for 6 yrs and i loved them! it took like 2 yrs to get them right!!!! i had to recut and reshape and get a lil routine going but once i did they were perfect! but i hated 'bang envy'! gurls are haters if u have better bangs then them. but they should b far back and v cut-im not a pro but thats my personal opinion! they made me look young and innocent, i grew them out after i had my child- thought i needed another life change, it was hard to grow them out but i leanred how to pomp my hair and now im great at that- i sometimes think i want them back- but not if i already had them
good luck!!!
ps- use hair cuttin scissors AND use a light pomade to flat out stray hairs on top and to make them shiny

Has anyone seen those bangs that are kinda long in the front and then there are two long segment on the side that frame the face? I can find any pictures...

If I do it I will probably get a longer style so I can sweep them up out of the way when I'm not styling them.
The one time I cut bangs, I sure regretted it, but that's due to my hair being curly in the summer due to heat and humidity and my lack of patience for straightening the bangs when they would only curl up again when going outside. I also often cut my hair short only to regret it too, but that grows back relatively quickly. Bangs? A year and a half too long.

I think that you should go ahead and do it this once cause you'll never know until you do it. I actually did *like* my bangs until they got to be too much to maintain. Then I couldn't wait for them to grow out.
I'm the same way. I'm afraid to get them because if I don't like them, my hair grows back slowly.
Moved this over to The Powder Room.. :)
i like fringe. i have a face that needs them though....if you have a "long" face it'll probably look tranny though. so beware.
fringe grows faster than anything in the world...it's ok to experiment.

I love these! They look real, but yet easy to remove AND they are human hair so you can dye them to match yours whenever you want!!!
