I think your scent is as important if not more than the clothes...what scents do you wear and why?
Me: L'Heure Bleue by Guerlain created in 1912...it's my absolute decadent pleasure. so many layers...it's like a drug to me.
and...
Paris by Yves Saint Laurent created in 1983. I have been wearing this for approximately 21 years. (my first bottle was a shoplifted tester from the dillard's fragrance counter...teen angst) It's my tried and true "everyday" scent. It's heady and playful...not too tart...like me.
I have never really been into buying perfumes for myself.. For a while, I was into Victoria's Secret perfumes like Heavenly and Desire. That is until, Jesse, my boyfriend, went through a fashion magazine and found a perfume he wanted me to wear.. :) He absolutely loves for me to wear J'adore by Dior. It is an amazing scent. I got a whole gift package of it for Christmas :)
I'm saving up for my big bottle of Prada perfume. It's got bergamot oils and patchouli as well as sandalwood .. very earthy but not masculine.. I love it!
I picked up two fragrences a couple years back at a Pac Sun; Tilt and Lilu. They're a light floral fragrence that goes great in the warmer weather or for everyday. But if I want to doll it up I have to go for Juicy Couture. It makes me feel ready to walk a red carpet. (Even if I know thats not going to happen ^-^)
AXE Dark Temptation body spray + Perry Ellis for Men!
AXE Dark Temptation has been described as having the slightest hint of sweetness which later hints of chocolate. Not only does the scent elude richness and spiciness it is also sweet, subconsciously reminding you of chocolate.
Perry Ellis is often described as modern-classic but with a good level of intensity at the same time, offering main ambery (resinous), woody, and briney facets. Containing some orris and leather in smaller proportions.
Desi I won't ask you for a testimonial because you get a whiff often, Sooooo Delyssia LaBelle, thoughts we rode side/side in a cab!???
I don't normally like floral scents but Juicy Couture is a pretty nice one and guys seem to like it a lot.
During winter I often wear Angel. I agree with Wild card Kitty, at first I didn't like it, but it has really grown on me.
when I want a similar smell but a bit toned down, I use Angel Innocent Secret.
Dior Addict is a nice spicy and sophisticated night time scent. I also like Calvin Klein's Euphoria.
Coco Mademoiselle here too. It makes me truly beautiful, and I'm not mature enough to carry off something as heavy as No. 5.
Miss Dior, Chérie isn't too bad, but a bit sugary... still, since Xmas it's been on every day. :)
isn't it funny and we "grow into" some scents? you do have to be mature enough to wear certain ones. L'heure Bleue was one that I wasn't able to wear until my mid 30's.
We definitely grow into/out of scents or our personal preferences change. I also think it is very interesting how our body chemistry alters the fragrance making them smell different on each person. Sometimes you can love a scent on someone else and it just doesn't agree with you.
