Some of my favs are "The Childerns Hour" with Audery Hepburn and Shirely MacLaine. "Shadow of a Doubt" with Teresa Wright which was an extermely great early Hitchcock flim. "Boheme, La" "The Phantom of Paris" "Casbablanca" "The Red Shoes" "Some Like it Hot" "Gentlemen Prefer Blondes" "Rear Window" I love the drama and the acting in all these movies. I espically love the scared expessions on their faces when something happens lol. But the best has to be the big diagloues in the movies
Gentlemen Prefer Blonds with Marilyn and Cover Girl with Rita are two of my favs.
Sunset Boulevard. William Holden is an absolute dream! I also love "I'm No Angel", "Flesh and the Devil", "Bus Stop"..."Whatever Happened to Baby Jane?" "Rear Window" "Vertigo"...the list goes on and on!
Some of my favorite classic movies are by Busby Berkeley! He was a genius and his stage production are incredible! For those who dance or do burlesque they are must see movies! Example: the performance of "We're in the Money from Gold Diggers of 1933 or By a Waterfall from Footlight Parade. All his production have fabulous costumes and set design!
Also love Josephine Baker's movies.
That is so awesome...I absolutely adore that movie!

I agree with you Betty Sue! I LOVE Alfred Hitchcock movies. I cry when Doris Day sings in "The Man Who Knew Too Much". I had the privelage of acting in the play Bus Stop as Cherie. I love that play, and it was interesting to see how they made it the movie it was.

Touch of Evil, The Thin Man, The Crowd, It Happened One Night, Sullivan's Travels, anything with Fred Astaire or the Marx Brothers, and old musicals.
I love all old movies it's the best rainy day entertainment. I like to watch ones that aren't the most well known. Other than that what ever they play on TMC and other channels.
Ooooh, The Thin Man is one of my all-time favorites!

aww o'l school hollywood i love it, love the film noir that was goin on. bogart in tons of movies were great. the old school horror films are great also. man so many i have some that i never knew about and if there really cheap i pick them up. like did you know that mr. & mrs. smith's plot was some what taken by a old film with the same name. i also like the bachlor and the bobby socker. there are tons of old films that are out there that are just great to watch.
I recently saw Giant with Elizabeth Taylor and James Dean.

That is an awesome and amazing movie.

Really those movies can do no wrong.

The formula was so dead on perfect.

I also saw this interesting documentary, Girl 27. A Gritty True Story about the Hollywood Machine back in the day. But maybe that is not so very vintage. Well kind of...

I am so addicted to PBS right now. They show good old movies every Saturday night.
