First Impressions All it takes is three seconds to evaluate someone. In this short time, we form an opinion about another person based on their overall appearance, their body language, their smile, their demeanor, their mannerisms, and how they are dressed.
It is human nature to constantly make these judgement.
My question to you all PL members is
~What are some unforgettable first impression either you made or have seen?
Are first impressions irreversible? What lead you to like someone based on their first impression? Smile, clothes...?

First time I met a certain psychobilly musician and when I went to shake his hand, he said "I know EXACTLY who you are." (We had been in a flame war on the old psychobilly yahoo mailing group)
Yeah..I think I tend to give a "bad" impression of myself. People have assumed a lot of b******* about me..there have been some f***** up rumours that are not based on any kind of reality. Just what people want me to be. If they want me to be a "stupid crazy b****" then that's all I'll ever be no matter what I do or say. Honestly I could care less about "first impressions" these days. It's takes time to really get to know someone.
first impressions are def reversable. i have met people for breaf incounters and met them again to hang out and seen alot more of them for better or worse, so yeah i think first impressions are important but def reversable.
I think first impressions are very important. The world doesn't always get a chance to know you, so making a good first impression is crucial. Sometimes people are wrong, and find that out as they get to know you, but that first glance is why you should always present yourself as you want to be perceived. A bad impression sticks, so we should all remember to put on at least a little lip stick, run a brush through our hair, and follow the rules of etiquette as much as possible. That way, you really never have to worry about it.

My funniest first impression... "Hey, I've seen your boobs!" I met someone who had been at Mardi Gras the same time as me. *blush*
Rob said all that I was thinking...
Rob took the words right out of my mouth. While first impressions are key - but they for sure can be reversed. A person is a whole lot more then what they look like on the outside.

First impressions are key, however I agree that they can be reversed. I do hair for a living. I'm also the owner of the salon. As such, I have to be the host of the party. I have to greet everyone, saying hello, goodbye and thank you to all. On first impressions, there might be new clients that may look at me with my tattoos and make a snap judgement as to what kind of person I am, good or bad. As they get to know me, the tattoos are irrelevant. I have clients that are close to 80 years and they could care less about my tattoos or my appearance. What's important to them is that I do their hair well and I treat them well. The same goes for me. I look at a new client and all I have to go on, initially is how they look. As I talk with them and listen I get to know them better. This is where it's at. It's all about getting to know the person.
