Hi ladies and gents,

I'm Maria Bella, co-founder and performer in Gilded Lily Burlesque in Baltimore, MD. And I have a question for all of you talented and gorgeous burlesque performers...

I'm doing a Marijuana routine for a scare film show being performed in NY and I was wondering if any of you had any ideas how to make a bra smoke?

The only thing I have heard of is for you to put these little like match sticks to light them on fire.

That probably doesn't answer your question, but I would be happy to send you a few names of burlesque people around town and yahoo groups where you could get better answers than what I can come up with... ; ))

Hmmm I wouldn't know how to make smoke happen in a bra... But if you had a fog machine, you could build a HUGE hooka/bong and have tons of smoke come out of it. It sure sounds like a fun idea. =)

if u got a small metal box sort of thing and inserted it into the bra with a h*** that came out where the nipple would be. you could light a cigarette and put it into the box and it would smoke just like it would if left it an ashtray. good luck finding a small box with a h***, do u know any welders?

Oops, I was so excited with Soda Shop Sue's comment that I forgot to post.
The problem with cigarettes, cigars, and yes blunts, is that they need to have a draw on them to produce enough smoke on stage to be seen by the crowd, and they also burn very hot (as opposed to all those things that burn cold...)
Dry ice is out, because you may burn your bobbies off...
I'll dig through my various "cheap FX" books and see if there is anything there. When is the show?

Why not Dry Ice surrounded in some sort of Box with Foam Rubber Padding around it so not to burn your skin. You would only need a small amount anyway..... Burlesque is supposed to be funny. Make you bra huge with padding and add The Dry Ice........Could work.
