mine was today, I took my lil xmas $ and went to the mall to get the Salavtore Ferragamo sunglasses I didn't get from any of my fam (boo on them ) haha and they were on clearance for $239 from $410!!!!! wooohooo! yay me! what was your best deal?

We weren't planning on doing the whole gifts thing this year, but some happened anyways. So we got $150 cash from my parents and grandma - so we went to the THRIFT STORE baby! And boy did I hit the jackpot! This one thrift store out here sells everything in the place at a set price everyday and each day the price goes down a quarter. The best thing, their most expensive day is $1.75!

So we went on $1.50 day and for $60 I walked out with 40 things! I got a pair of brown pointed toe calf high boots, an adorable little black secretary purse, a super fabulous handmade sexy modern 70's style dress, a pair of super low-butt-huggin jeans and pinstripe pants, plus a whole load of tops. Sure I got some Mossimo and names I didn't know, but I also got Ralph Lauren, Michael Kors, H&M, Fossil, etc. (not that I care much for brands, but generally it's better quality) And in all of my stuff I only had two tiny holes to sew up and one tiny stain to bleach, which I took care of all in about 15 minutes.

That's what I call a holiday SCORE! I'm going to have to take pics and blog my treasure trove!

Hmmm, this is tough because I technically haven't received all of my presents yet. My boy isn't flying in until Tuesday night, so we're saving our exchange until we can be together in person. In the mean time, my "biggest" score was an unintentional present to myself! I've had an ill-fitting but beautiful vintage dress hanging in my closet for probably 18 months, too scared to take it to some unknown tailor-seamstress because of the unusual pleating across the bodice. I finally broke down and took it to a gal who'd been recommended to me, and for one thing, her collection of vintage hats put me right at ease. Here's a gal who "gets" it. And then? It turns out she just needs to make a simple adjustment to the straps, can leave the pleating alone, and best of all, it should only cost about $10. TEN DOLLARS. I am elated! And, the dress will be ready in time for my NYE party. Perfection!

i wanted this green wool winter coat from a shop in my town.... it was $130.... then on the 27th (AFTER IS DIDNT GET IT FOR CHRITMAS) i got it for HALF OFF last ticketed price of $49 ... so it was like $25....
