What's your favorite? What pieces are essential under your vintage and retro dresses?

Personally, I never wear a dress without an open bottom girdle underneath. Not only does it hold my tummy in and keep my butt from jiggling too much, it also holds up my stockings. I also like to wear a corset/cincher under tight dresses to make my waist just a little tinier.

Under high waisted pants I wear a spanks...just for that extra firmness and to keep my tummy in.

I love my Ragu OBG. Fits like a glove, and feels so tight and nice. It really does the trick, and keeps my stockings up even when lindy hopping! I would like to get a panty girdle though, specifically for dancing needs.

I <3 open bottom all-in-ones. They cinch, hoist, and hold in all the right places. I like to keep it simple and less complicated. =0]

I really need to find a good binder or bodyshaper. I have one from Crown-ette but it will cut off your circulation! Currently I'm wearing an after surgery binder. But I want to get a Ragu and some type of waist cincher to replace this thing. I just need to heal another 2 weeks or so before I can completely change the surgical one too something sexier.

Ragu is my absolute FAVORITE. If I'm wearing a dress, I'm wearing either my Ragu open bottom girdle, or waist cincher. They have SUPER hot 6 strap garter belts as well!

They all hold me in better than any other pantie girdle that I have bought at torrid, or sears. Ragu girdles can be purchased online. They are pretty basic looking, but they do the job under the clothes.

Haha I love mine! I have vintage ones as well as new production ones.
Not only do I think they are pretty and lovely, they do a great job too!
Just like it's important to wear a bra in your size and a style that works with the dress you are wearing its important to have the correct undergarments, like an OBG.

I've seen many girls walking around with their tight dresses and seen their panties showing though, too much information for me!
A good OBG will flatten any lines and make you look awesome!
And it's not just for bigger girls to hold in, smaller girls will get a better and smother shape from an OBG or a waist cincher.
But the bigger you are the more visible result you will get:

I have to say that this has inspired me to actually get a damn OBG. Been humming and harring about it.

II usually wear spanx or the firm control high waist knickers. I do hate wriggling into spanx though.
If I have to wear leggings (for work usually) I prefer the suck ya in ones too. I find normal leggings are either too baggy on the waist and fine on the leg, or too tight on the leg and erm.... too baggy on the waist the suck ya in ones, they look as though they would fit a size 8 (I'm a 16/18) once theyre on, they arent going anywhere and they definatly arent baggy.

I'll look into the OBG next week when I visit mother/grandmother. they seem to know all about the fit ect of them.
