I am still dipping my toes into the pinup look, and am having the hardest time achieving any hairstyles involving curls o rolls. I have nearly waist length hair and it's more or less all one length, so I'm thinking maybe my hair is too long? While it's not super thick I have a lot of it, and maybe that has something to do with it too. What I'm going for is 40's/50's a la Aubrey London or Casey of elegantlyamused on youtube. Thanks in advance for helping a newbie out!

Hiya!!!! I understand the difficulty of dealing with hair! Trying to style with long hair can be difficult especially rolls, you don't have to cut your hair what you are going to have to do is invest in different types of hair roller products like hot sticks, hot rollers. Or Velcro rollers to do over night sets. What it is going to come down to is you taking time in rolling your hair, because you are going to have to do it in section, to get the desired look. I have very thick hair so it take a lot of time for me to create the wavy, rolled or the Bettie Page look, and my hair is only bra strap length. So its going to take time and ALOT OF PRACTICE!!! And soon enough you will have it down pat. I hope this helps!! Good luck!

There is no rule, but once it gets really long it becomes harder to work with. The trick is just to keep practicing, you'll get the hang of it. Try picking one style and doing until it becomes second nature.

Also check out Tawnie Trouble's photos, she has super long hair and does some amazing things with it. http://www.pinuplifestyle.com/profile/TawnieTrouble
