Hello!

I was just wondering if anyone was on PurplePort? It's along the same lines as Model Mayhem but it's so much better in my opinion.

I've never heard of it, but it looks interesting. Can you tell us a little more about it? And is it world wide? I noticed most girls I saw were in the UK.

It is indeed worldwide but I think it's British based and that is why most people on there are from Britain; I've seen a few American and European profiles so it is spreading.

It works exactly the same as MM but it's more refined, in my opinion. For instance, your stats are laid out in your bio including how much you are willing to work (part time, full time, etc), your level of experience in years, what you will work for and the regular size/colouring stats.

You have a profile and a homepage, a bit like Facebook; on your homepage it has a list of castings in your area, a list of current forums, list of people's statuses, and a list of actions of people you have followed.

When posting a casting you have to clearly state what you want from it, including payment - is it Time For, are you willing to pay or do you want to be paid?

Any responses to castings are replied to in a direct message so you have an instant one to one connection with other artists.

There are weekly competitions to win a month's worth of free premium profile. You start with a month anyway when you set up which means you can post an unlimited amount of photos - the regular account only allows eleven.

My favourite feature though has to be the calender. You post when you are available, your shoots (you can also set up a reminder for these) and when you are in a different location and might want to shoot there. When conversing with another party you can compare calenders through the click of a button rather than going back and forth between calenders.

Well, I attempted it, but then they wanted to know my weight, hight, etc and I don't understand their chart, lol. So ummm.....yeah.
