I'm not sure about Houston but in the Austin area there's a really cool lady who sells authentic vintage clothing mostly from her etsy and her blog and ships everywhere!  http://merlettovintage.blogspot.com/

We have lots of great shops! 

The following all sell reproductions:
Red Rocket (on 19th)
Haunted Heel (Kemah)
Vamp Vintage (Spring)
Happy Clothes - closed the actual shop, but totally worth following on FB as she still sells.

If you like vintage then you should check out 19th Street in the Heights. 
Replay on 19th is one of my favorites, as is Retropolis.  Retropolis is unique in that it rents space to different vendors like an antique mall would.  Vida Antigua is another who usually has great vintage dresses, but I believe it is best to follow them as well since she mainly shows at events.  She is willing to open up the storage area if you make arrangements. 

There are also a few different gals in town that do custom orders as well. :)
