There was a spammer on the site trying to scam people. Please be aware.

A warning ladies, Mabel Wiltom is messaging people asking for friendship, its part of a scam to launder money, her email address is [e-mail]. do NOT engage in anything with her, there are many going around, so keep yourselves safe, if i am wrong, i hold my hands up and apologise x

Dearest  love one, Thanks For Your mail, I  will really like to have a good relationship with you, and i have a special reason why i decided to contact you.I decided to contact you because of the urgency of my situation here and after reading your profile ,I am Miss Mabel  Wilton,24 years old girl from Liberia,the daughter of Late Dr Wilton  Sankawulo, the Minister of National Security and former commanding General of the Armed Forces of Liberia under the leadership of president Charles Taylor who is now in exile after many innocent soul were killed ,My father was killed by government of Charles Taylor ,he accuse my father of coup attempt.   I am constrained to contact you because of the maltreatment I am receiving from my step mother. She planned to take away all my late father's treasury and properties from me since the unexpected death of my beloved Father. Meanwhile I wanted to escape to the Europe but she hide away my international passport and other valuable traveling documents.Luckily she did not discover where I kept my father %uFFFDs File which contains important documents.   So I decided to run out of the country to the refugee camp where I am presently seeking asylum under the United Nations High Commission for the Refugee here in Dakar, Republic of Senegal. I wish to contact you personally for a long term  business relationship and investment assistance in your country.My father of blessed memory deposited the sum of US$6,800,000.00 in Bank  with my name as the next of kin. I was JUST about to post about this, thank you for taking the time to bring it to everyone's attention.

First let me start by saying that the person behind this has been deleted, along with all of her content, comments and messages, and has been blocked as spam. 

Next, I want to point out that she stole another members profile information, and the company she claimed to be with was not her own, and was a victim. The REAL company, House of Winter is a legit company, run by a very nice girl named Tami. Please do not harbor any bad feelings toward her, as she was not at all responsible for this.

We personally approve every member here on PL, and most of the time we can catch the spammers before they join. The way that this "Mabel" person snuck by us was very tricky, and so we are asking you to keep an eye out in case it happens again. They made a perfectly normal looking profile, that threw up no red flags and after they were approved chose another member, seemingly at random, and copy and pasted their profile information onto the spam account. They then went to work sending messages and placing comments at an alarming speed. We were notified and after speaking with Tami from House of Winter to be sure she had nothing to do with it, we deleted the account.

I want to thank everyone who brought this spammer to our attention. I'm both happy and proud that so many people from this community took the time to let us know what was going on. You guys are amazing!

We will be keeping close a eye on the site during the next few days to make sure she doesn't come back, but if anything like this happens again, or if you receive ANY comments or posts that you think might spam or make you uncomfortable, please do not hesitate to contact me! I don't think there is any reason to change your email unless you emailed her back. But even if you did you can always block her. If she talked to you through PinUp Lifestyle you are totally safe.

I was recently contacted via PL chat by someone who doesn't have a searchable profile.  Could this also be a spammer?

You can't get in the chat room without a profile. However, some members chose to make their profiles private. Just because it's private, doesn't mean it's spam. But if you have ANY issues with a member, any at all, be sure to let us know asap. Note the members name, and if possible, copy or screen shot the problem.

Our job is to keep this site safe, if something happens, we want to know about it!
