What to Wear for a Pin Up Contest

Hello, I'm very new to the pin-up community, though I've been wearing vintage clothing for years. I feel quite comfortable in my authentic hairstyling and makeup techniques, as well as authentic vintage dressing. I have my first pin up contest is coming up this weekend, and I'm not quite sure what I should wear. I have many pencil skirt outfits, as well as many circle skirts and dresses that require the crinolines. I feel most glamorous in my fuller skirted options, but I'm concerned that the pin-up community may be looking for a more "Marilyn-esque" vibe. Any suggestions? Am I putting far too much thought into this? I've struggled to find any one source of inspiration, as my style (ranging from Marilyn bombshell to Grace Kelly lady-like attire) varies with my mood. It's probably important to note that this contest is a stage contest, and no photo shoots will take place.
