locating UK retro models

Hello all

I'm a real newbie here, so please forgive me if I'm asking a bunch of really stupid questions!

Firstly, are there many UK retro / burlesque models on PL, and how easy is it to track them down? Any tips? Is there a group here where one can place a note inviting such models interested in shooting to get in contact?

Hi Terry. I know from other sites that the UK is chock full of pin up models because whenever I see a model that I want to shoot with it seems that they come from the UK. lol. I would do a search by city here and see what pops up.

You really are near...and don't allow lack of experience to deter you - a number of those 'modelling' for me on my page have never been in front of a camera before...so you are probably more of a model than you realise!

Here's hoping you get the opportunity to do a shoot with Stephanie Jay. If I was closer to Essex I'd jump at the opportunity! Like yourself I'm hoping to get some pin-up style shoots done in the New Year. I'm based up in Edinburgh and will be trawling all the modelling sites soon to find the right models. Fortunately, I do some voluntery work in an affluent part of Edinburgh. So aquiring vintage/retro costumes isn't a problem. It's finding the gorgeous ladies to fit into them that is proving a wee bit difficult. Good luck with all your endevours!

Terry - I may well give your studio a go at somepoint! Shall save up my pennies and see what I can do...do you do hair and make up? What about clothes (sounds like a stupid question but I have no idea) or do we bring what we have?
