Cheap but decent?

Hello Ladies.

I was wondering if anyone could give me a tip as to wear I could shop for cheap or cheapish but decent or nice vintage clothing?

I am kind of on a tight budget here but I would love to start up my wardrobe.

If ya'll know anywhere in the Houston area it would also be great!

It depends on what look you are going for.  :)  Surprisingly enough, if you are wanting the rockabilly more modern look, such as pencil skirts and cute tops, you can drop into Dots.  I happened to go in last week and they had some cute items that could easily work.  Plus, they are really inexpensive so you don't feel too bad about changing your wardrobe frequently.  I picked a darling 3/4 sleeve cropped jacket that is white with red polka dots for under $10.  Keep your eyes open at the Haunted Heel (add them on Facebook) also, they do really nice specials on repro brands.  They will let you call and buy over the phone then pick up or ship to you.  If you want real vintage, check out 19th street in the Heights.  Replay and Retropolis are great!  If you are into vintage accessories, watch for estate sales.  A lot of times people just want to get rid of the stuff and are willing to sell gorgeous jewelry and hats for really reasonable prices.  :)  Let me know if you want any more tidbits for finding great buys (I'm kinda obsessed) and happy hunting!  Be sure to post pics, I would love to see what you find :D

I would try hitting up shops like Buffalo Exchange or Goodwill. Who knows you could get lucky. That said I have included the address and phone number for the two Buffalo Exchange shops that are in the Houston.. So yeah happy hunting.
