Have you tried Fred 62 on Vermont Ave in LA? Pretty amaqzing food, retro style diner.

I have to say a simple burger, fries and a chocolate shake. We have a place back home in California that isn't so retro but is a diner and it's amazing. We've got on here in El Paso that I haven't been able to go to yet because they close so early, but it's a full on 50's diner with teal dinette sets =) I can't wait to try it!
Sadly I've never been to a retro diner :-( however it is on my to do list. So if anyone knows of any, please let me know. I'm from Ga, but if it's worth a good road trip I'll give it a try. Thanks

Funny you asked. Just had a lovely diner dinner at home... that way it's made over "my way". Yummy Salisbury steak (made my way with extra lean organically farm raised beef), homemade 3 peppercorn sauce and fresh corn/carrots/peas/french beans from my garden - plain, no butter cause when you picked them 10 min ago, you don't need anything extra. Fries on the side made in my T-fal air fryer with only 1 tbs of oil are also yellow flesh potatoes from my garden ;-).... A glass of wine to drink it down...And that is ladies, how we keep our cUrVeS in all the right places ;-) ... Now I think I'll head down to the Diner and have me a 1000 cal strawberry milk shake!

I love a nice burger and fries with a chocalate shake.

Ours is Pin-Up a la Mode... Here's the recipe.

: )

There's a Doc's 50's Style Diner in Vacaville Ca. Great place to Eat they Play Old Radio Shows of Wolf Man Jack. Reminds me of when I got to see Him in Concert with Paul Revere and the Raiders.

You can't beat the ambrosia salad!  But the great 50's desert is Jello with Cool Whip! Yummy!  I also like Liver and Onions!  Good Hobo viddles since the great depression!!

Bacon and eggs, with the eggs over easy.  The early breakfast ordered in the diner by Humphrey Bogart in the movie Dark Passage (1947), co-starring Lauren Bacall.

it is stack

Cheeseburger, fries, strawberry shake....Mmmmmm :)
