Hello

I would like to discus Surgery for self enhancement rather than health reasons.
Many individuals who get it done get called fake or plastic by people who often are the ones who say it is what on the inside that counts.
To me that dosent change who you are as a Person.
We all get judged on looks its a fact of life and something i noticed from when i was a litle girl. Looking to what is considered atractive by others can help a person alot.

People strive to achive perfection and wiew beauty as one of the things that can make a person perfect. When thier is an individual with beaty others try to make them seem shalow, ignorant, stupid, or flawed in some way. Is it Because people cant except beauty unless it is flawed so they wont feel bad about themselfs?

Is it wrong to want to change yourself because it is not how you were born?
Is Staying how you are worth the price for being called natural.
Some are born and happy with themself never knowing what it is like to want to change something. Some are born considered sexy or hot and its easy for them to say be happy with how you are.
However what about the people who want to change? is it wrong for them to?

I also have a problrm with people saying it would be going against God to get a pursedure because he created you how you are, your body is his temple. But i respect my body as a temple.
Can i not respect my body and get a pursedure?
I have always wanted an alarplasty(make nostrils smaller) I have never ben made fun of for my body or face but have always wanteed to change that small part. When i lok in the mirror it is like seeing someone else, like my personality dosent match who i am.
I hope this can help someone who has wanteed to share how they feel.

Any Opinioins, Views, Personal Expiriences or Help?

Sorry about spelling it does not represent my intelegence Well

I've never had any plastic surgery done. But it does not mean I would never do it.

Not too sound too philosophical, but I believe in what the Buddha said about taking the middle path. I would not go to extremes with cosmetic surgery. All you have to do is think about all of those celebrities who look terrible as a result of the surgeries. But I think that a little modification is fine.

But finally I think it is important to love yourself no matter how you look. Many people who have plastic surgery are not happy people. Plastic surgery will not bring happiness. It will help you look better. It will not make you be better.

Keep those things in mind and I think then one will make good decisions for oneself.

In this scene it's very difficult to be against plastic surgery. We are a scene based on beauty. The pin ups and movie stars of the golden era had little nips and tucks to make themselves "better", and people have been doing it since. I see nothing wrong with fixing something you don't like to make you happy. We dye our hair, paint our nails, get tattoos and piercings, wear make up, all to change "what god gave us", so what's wrong with a more permanent solution? If it makes someone happy, and it's not hurting anyone else, why should we judge?

I look at it like this ... if something has always bothered you and it can easily be fixed, why not?  I find it sad when people go too far for whatever reason and end up a mess.  Don't forget that it is surgery and has an effect on your entire being.   Take care of yourself and live your life to its fullest.

Thank You.
It is nice to hear someones opinion about these things.
And i Agree with you to much is not good.
I just wanted to hear what others opinions were.
I am not familiar with the midle path i will look that up.

That is a good point.
Looking at it like that we as human popolation in all are changing alot about ourselfs minus surgery, a pursedure is just a more permanant change. That gives me a more broad view on it.
Thank You for Your Coment

I cannot say that I have not though about plastic surgery. Some days I feel like I would feel more comfortable with myself if I just had a boob job but other days I get pissed off and think that why the hell should I change just because society says that it's not okay not to be perfect if you want to succeed. When almost everyone around us in this day and age can have a "flaw" fixed, it's just raising the bar and people think it's normal to look "perfect". It gets dull and I hope that the trend will turn. If you really don't like this one thing in your appearance then I say go for it but don't let society tell you what to do. Good luck.

Plastic Surgery is most certainly a singular decision influenced by our surroundings and not something to be taken lightly. Getting caught up in what another's view of beauty is and wanting to change it to fit that mold is prevalent the world over. Sometimes people get surgery to become who they are inside; other times people get it to get rid of something they dislike and increase their self-confidence. Whatever the reason, I'm sure it was a long process to get the end goal.

Personally, I can't see spending an asinine amount of money on surgery for something that makes me who I am. I love myself, imperfections and all...I even love my nose (which I feel could do with a little something-something every so often).

It's certainly not for everyone!

Plastic surgery is such a personal issue and no one can make the decision for you, but it comes down to:  are you doing it to make yourself happy with a realistic expectation that it will not fix life's problems, or are you doing it because you feel you have to for whatever reason - societal expectations, you think it will help your modeling career, or you have low self-esteem, etc.  Personally, if I had the money, I would have my nose and my boobs done.
